If its lost or stolen you will pay a deductible I believe its $130 and it will be brand new however I'm not 100% sure on the price because it went up for certain devices but it might be cheaper just call Asurion and its worth it IMO.

My husband has this and its $130 deductible. You just have to call t-mobile and they would transfer you to the insurance company that handles the claims.
