I signed up using my personal T-Mobile number and where they asked for my business I put in my current employer.  I received a confirmation and have not received the "Ineligible Registration" email yet like a friend of mine and others.  I just received an "REMINDER TO ATTEND: T-Mobile "Solutions Showcase"" email this morning stating they are looking forward to seeing me.

I plan on going.  We'll see what happens.

I agree, I have a G1, why would I pay $500 for the same phone in essence.  I too would like to know what that "Bright Lights" is all about.  Although if T-mobile says this is their flagship device, where does that leave the Touch pro 2, which is coming out on 7/22, so wouldn't more people be inclined to get that phone since it has better features, and an actual keyboard?  I just don't get it

Well, I hope there is good news.  The news on the MyTouch was not too good tonight for those of us looking for exchange support!
Seems like we have been waiting forever for a new WM device like the TP2 or whatever T-Mobile is calling their version.
THis last 4 weeks, if they are really releaseing on July 22, will be the longest 4 weeks out of the last 3 years!

My guess they will be announcing the TP2 on July 22 and you will be seeing it in the stores a month after the announcement just like the MyTouch.  I don't expect to see it till late Aug. early Sept.  I hope this is not the case, but by judging how they ran the MyTouch release I'm not holding my breath.

Yes my MDA has done its tour of duty and needs to be retired. I'm looking forward to the TP2. I considered the G1, but I need more battery life then it could give.  The MyTouch looks sweet, but I want a keyboard.  Don't know if I could be comfortable with a virtual keyboard on the MyTouch.  Guess I won't know until I have some time to play with it.

I don't know what to expect at the breakfast event.  Maybe they will be just be talking about WM and not about the hardware..... I hope not.  I'm debating whether to bring a camera or not. I don't even try to take pictures with the MDA camera for obvious reasons.  Think I will bring it anyway and see if they will let me in with it.

The 2 Samsung t329 Stripe's are my son's and daughter's. I don't know what kind of pics that take. The Samsung x475 I don't think it even has a camera. The Motorola W490 is my other son's, I don't know how well it takes pics.... I guess I can test them tonight before going torrow, but I have a feeling they are not ones that what I would call good picture takers.  I have a Canon SD950 IS that is fairly small camera that I hopefully can get in. If not I will bring the best camera phone that I have to see if that would work. I want to get the best pictures I can of the TP2, etc. and if the camera phones I have don't do any better then the pictures we've seen on the web then whats the point.

The Motorola W490 doesn't take to bad if pics as long as I don't get to close.

BTW if I get some pics shot off with the Canon is there a size limit of what I can upload (i.e. max res.)?

Ha, I sincerely doubt they would let me in!

Worth a shot.

After I registered for that upcoming HTC event, I got an email saying:

Thank you for your interest in T-Mobile's "Solutions Showcase" events. Please note that these events are invitation-only for T-Mobile corporate customers and are not open to the public. Regrettably, you are ineligible to attend.

Please see www.T-Mobile.com for official information about T-Mobile's products, services and public events.

OK, so that's why I got in, as a corporate customer.  The Seattle event is the morning of 6/25, will let y'all know if there's anything new I find out.
Cool thanks appreciate it.

Don't have much time, but at the corporate event this morning T-Mobile announced that the Touch Pro 2 was NOT going to release until mid-August, and that was tentative.  Afterwards I talked to a couple of HTC reps who confirmed that right now they are looking at August 12th.

Most definitely NOT July 22nd, they assured me.

Well, I was at the Seattle T-Mobile Solutions Showcase, and the T-Mobile Sales director stated it during the presentation, and then the HTC representatives confirmed it.

They said that yes, it *was* supposed to be the 22nd, but has been postponed due to some logistical problems.  The T-Mobile speaker stated that it was tentatively mid-August, whereas the HTC reps said August 12th...so my guess is that the 12th is the current target date but it's not yet written in stone.

They better not pull a fast one, and follow T-Mobile UK. Why is it that, the Android phones never get delayed? LOL.
