Has Anyone Goten CUPCAKE 1.5 on their phone yet

I did the telnet commands, however I didn't finish the emulator commands I kept getting a error message!

I have the root.apk file its easy and pretty much does the work for you if anyone needs it. Shoot me a pm cause I don't upload files.

I sense a little delay in the expected timing of the 1.5 OTA, so even more glad I rooted and do not have to stay in limbo for future updates.

Yeah I've been having it for a while but never used it, its setup to download the right files you need (make sure you have wifi) and its broken down into steps for you even does the telnet stage just have to luanch the app and press a button.

They got one for apps 2 SD?  I am still too chicken to try that yet.  Or is it lazy.  OK- I am a lazy chicken!

i did the root.apk and got rc33 now...but what now my phone is still the same!

widgets video camera are for 1.5 software version.. so .. have to wait for official release. RC 33 is history coming next week.

Just a bit of encouragement here to those back and forth on rooting...I have rooted my G1, my sons, and my wifes, then when my screen cracked I rooted another for myself, my son wanted a iPhone so he traded his for one then about a week later wifi died on his iPhone and theres no way to get it back so he re-traded for another G1 which I rooted for him again. So 5 G1's rooted an 0 issues. Its not hard to do at all and total time (never timed it lol) seemed like 10 minutes or so.

 I followed the how to root guide from XDA and went like a breeze. Was a little tricky at first trying to get telnet working but only cause the guide says to type it in before you download the app which isnt right, other then that no problems.

Ill wait for the ota. Eff all that work to root

It really wasn't that hard, I just followed it step by step , even skipped one and was able to go back to it w/o bricking my phone or anything, much easier than installing the custom firmware to my psp.

same here. said in other posts that ive never done anything like this but followed the directions here and on yoututbe as a help. need some patience, but well worth it. will have to try out the different themes, but will there be the world clock on the menu screen? seems cool.

i really hope with all the people on the internet having G1's, someone gets legit 1.5 update OTA real real soon.

lol i find it funny how everyone has pretty much given up on tmobile, or google or whomever, yet again on givin the cupcake update.  so now yall is rootin cuz this is seriously ridiculous!
