Sony erricson cs8

I think they might be pushing it back enough that they may never release it.  I was going to wait for this phone to upgrade my wife's phone . . . I am glad I didn't wait.

Waiting for this thing to come out is driving me crazy... I've been holding off on upgrading my phone for 6 months thinking that this will come out "next month"... then "maybe next month"... then "well, maybe next month"... 

Does anyone have any info more specific than "Q4"? Walmart roadmap showing September, has this been confirmed anywhere?

I wouldn't trust a release date given in an article in early May unless more recent confirmation also suggested the same. 

The device was submitted to the FCC in April and hasn't really been heard about since.

If it was coming out next week, the guys at the tmonews blog would likely have posted this information because by now T-Mobile employees would be receiving memos about the upcoming release.

I heard a rumor that the device wasn't meeting T-Mobile's rigorous testing.   The rumor wasn't confirmed, but the longer it's absent from the lineup, the more legitimate the rumor becomes.

But the point is, "if its true".  It's an article from early May.  If you do a search, none of the tech sites have mentioned anything since then.  No advanced info from T-Mobile employees, no screen shots of T-Mobile product listing, etc. 

Talk about it just stopped.  But I wouldn't count on it in September until somebody has some new info.

how do u know that? the phone did show up in t-mobile.com somewhere in the green perks or something, and it was in some kind of list of phones selection.. they had it up on the blog a few months back.. but who knowsss.. and what do u mean by quality control? it didnt pass the build quality test? or it didnt pass the radiation(SAR?) test?

It was T-Mobile's own build quality test.  (Nothing to do with radiation.)  T-Mobile subjects all of the devices it sells to it's own internal durability checking.  I guess they try to limit warranty problems in advance.  Sometimes they let a few clunkers through, but in this case they stopped this before final release. 

The device passed the FCC back in April.  And you're right, it showed up in some system lists of T-Mobile.  But it never saw the light of day.  I don't think T-Mobile missed out on it.  The device was sold on AT&T under the C905 name and did have some issues.  AT&T is not as picky however.

oh ok.. but yea, since tmo does let a few go thru, they shoulda juss let this one pass since it was in their systems.. i think it woulda been a nice addition to the line up,, u know,, for options..
