I'm glad to see it is working for you guys.
It works fine for me also.
It is still in beta so hopefully it gets better. This is awesome because now I don't have to pay for my phone internet and a laptop card.

this may sound like a dumb question but i does it work if you don't have 3g in your area? or a better way to ask it is can it work with 2g as well as 3g?

I would imagine it works if you are in an EDGE area. I can't see why it would not.

Army - I suspect they will charge for this app once it is developed more.

I agree with you matt. Hopefully just a one time price, not a monthly price.
If it is a one time price, It is going to be a big hit once people learn about it.

It's been awhile but with WM it was just a one time charge I believe.

It seems pretty early now, but if it follows the lines of the Palm, BB, and WM versions, it should support Mac later on.

it seems like a cool thing, i downloaded it and tried it, but i don't know if i can really use it, cuz you can only connect to 3g and wifi, and i am not in a 3g area, and if i was gonna use wifi, i could use the wifi on my computer. if i am missing something someone please let me know. trying to decide if i want to root my replacement g1, the only reason i rooted my original phone was for wifi tethering. any suggestions would be appreciated

Downloaded and installed but I haven't had a chance to try it out yet. Nice find all the same though! +1

I'm glad to see that this can be done without root access.

And lilladyo2cute, have you tried it on a 2g network and it didn't work are you assuming it won't work because of its description? I'd be kind of concerned if it refused to work over 2g too (though maybe that's something that could be worked out in the final release if it can't use 2g now).

i turned off my 3g and it still works... i'm hoping with the full version when it's out of beta will allow access through wifi Smiley that would make this a MUST HAVE APP for non-rooters Smiley

Okay, that's definitely a good thing to hear. I thought it was supposed to support wifi already though. Maybe that was a typo and they meant to say currently supports 2g and 3g instead of 3g and wifi?

I tried it and it wouldn't connect when my wifi wasn't on. Maybe i didn't do something right, but when i turned on the wifi it worked, it was slow but it worked. when i turned off my wifi it gave me an error and page wouldn't load. so to rippen when you turned off your 3g was ur wifi off as well?

Downloaded and tried the app. Not bad for a start and still in beta. It creates a dial up connection on your pc thru bluetooth (so it says) but to my knowledge it only works hooked up thru usb.  Still very slow and unstable compared to Wifi-Tether but will be a good alternative for all of you non-rooters once retail.
