I just want to know why people love their blackberry's so much? When I first saw the 8900,  I didn't see what was so speical.Does it have threaded texts? Does it have a full html browser, with taps/pages support?

P.S. One more question, do blackberry's have aim or yahoo support?

All I can say is that, its does everything I want it to and then some... perfect for work, I am a web developer and this is a way for me to choose to keep in touch with clients or not to. Speaker phone is great, no need for a headset. I prefer a full qwerty keyboard.

It does have aim, yahoo, msn, google, and icq for your chat clients. It also has BB Messenger.

BBM = Crack, I swear. LOL

Like he^ said, it does EVERYTHING I want and need it to. I honestly could not live with out my BB, which is crazy because I was a BB hater for such a long time until someone convinced me to at least try it. The 8900 is just amazing.

I can confirm her addiction, lol.

It's a pretty stable phone.  As others have said, it does what I want and need it to.  The 8900 has a very good camera on it.  The OS is awesome.  The phone is fast.  AMAZINGLY clear screen, too!

Blackberries are excellent....especially the wild kind!  They have a wonderful sweetness to them that's just excellent.  Really good in cobbler and on ice cream too.

...oh, you mean the phones!  ;)  Those are ok too I suppose.  :)

From wikipedia:
"is a proprietary Instant Messenger application included on newer model BlackBerry devices." One can BBM ONLY with other BBs and not with clients such as AIM, Yahoo!,....

HTHs.

BBs are excellent, but I have gone through 4 Curves and might be going through another one as we speak. How are the 8900 holding up, anyone had to send them back for any issues?

My 8900 has been great!  I've only had one problem so far(App Error 200), but I was able to fix it without having to send it in.  I posted what happened and how I fixed it in another thread on this forum.

Ok

If you have never had a Blackberry its a little difficult to explain. For me the reason that I love Blackberry's is because I get my email in near real time. I know that you can get email on lots of handsets, but on a Blackberry email arrives very much like test messages. There is no very little delay. iPhone might show email better than a Blackberry but with a Blackberry you don't need to wait until you are in an edge, 3g or wifi zone and a Blackberry will always be up to date. On my iPhone its normal to look at the phone in the morning only to see that its not checked for email since the night before.

After a couple of days use you start to keep checking your Blackberry for that flashing red light to show that you have mail. Also I rarely check my email on my laptop I just check email on my curve.

There is a book called Crackberry which talks about Blackberry addiction as being something like alcohol addiction. I took the book to be a joke but there are some people who live and sleep with their berry just incase they miss an email.

(My own view is that if you don't use email on your phone or maybe your not an email fan then buy another handset.)

Blackberry phones are amazing, no matter what model / shape. Surely there newer software models give a few errors (on T-Mobile) -> Myfaves likes to cause the App Error 523.. (at least on my flip it did)

But overall there stable, reliable and the OS amazing. Compared to Windows Mobile for instance... BB KiX AsZ!

Nope. I was able to mess with one for a certain amount of time and decided I really didn't like it much.

I messed with a G1 in the store before the 8900 came out and was not impressed with it.
