Is there a reason you want the latest 8900 OS for Orange Romania because I believe this OS is over 3 months old. I'll post it anyways.

This is only the latest OS for the carrier Orange Romania! If you would like the most recent please ask :)

Software For BlackBerry® Curve (TM) 8900 smartphone

BlackBerry Handheld Software v4.6.1.317 (Multilanguage)

Package Version: 4.6.1.317
Consisting of:
Applications: 4.6.1.206
Software Platform: 4.2.0.102
File name: 8900M_PBr4.6.1_rel317_PL4.2.0.102_A4.6.1.206.exe
File size: 122.34MB

Download the OS here:
https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/contactFormPreload.do?code=D94E18A8ADB4CC0F623F7A83B1AC75B4&dl=BE9C823DBACD019AE51C248A2EBBEE23

Instructions to install on ANY 8900 from ANY CARRIER.

1. Download the above OS file to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded.
2. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
3. Plug in BB and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

The process takes about 45 minutes to an hour depending on how much data you have to backup and restore during the process. Once it's done loading the new OS it will reboot (it may do this twice during the entire process.) You will see a white screen with an hourglass for up to 20 minutes at a time while the DM says "waiting for initialization."
If, for some reason, you end up with a white screen with small icons and the number 507, simply connect to the PC again and run Loader.exe again and it should load the OS to the device.

WARNING: Loading your Blackberry Device with this OS and sending it back to tmobile will result in a Out Of Warranty notice and a fee. So before you send back the device make sure to put the OFFICIAL OS  for your BB device from tmobile you can get it at www.tmobile.com/bbupgrade

Thanks
The reason is that i bought the phone from a friend, and it has no application on it, no messenger, no maps
Another thing that i want to ask you kickstar13, is if you know how to jailbreak blackberry 8900, this makes applications such us yahoo messenger to work without data plan, and via WiFi

The new latest OS (Not Orange Romania's) will have all the stock applications as well, just to let you know.

About the jailbreak question, Blackberry's are literally useless without the data plan. Many things such as applications require the data plan to get the service books. Not sure but I heard Palringo IM works with Wi-Fi Connection. Also I would call T-Mobile and tell them to add the Blackberry Feature Enabler to your account (It's free).

Any updates on WHEN the OFFICIAL TMO 5.0-OS will be released?
Welcome to TmoNews!
No updates as of yet, regarding when T-Mobile will release their branded version of OS 5.0 for the Curve 8900.
But the latest official OS above should work just fine. :)

So I'm back with OS 4.6.1.231 - my apps kept disappearing! I would see them in the applications list under Options>Advanced Options but couldn't find the icons, even when all icons were shown. That's the first hiccup I've ever had with an official OS that was loaded...

Correct; the links are either for Optus or Vodafone and take you to RIM's site and are official releases from the carriers. I love 5.0 on my 8900 and have had absolutely no issues with this! My 8900 is even faster when loading and runs even smoother now. Enjoy!
