Did you ever play around with the T809?
Gosh...I love that phone. I flashed it to D820 firmware and it was brand new again.

older samsungs are nice .. most newer ones blow monkeys... but the 819 and the katalyist are pretty nice .. have very few customers with issues with thouse and the 819 is off upgrade at cc because backordered from when the promo for free samsungs hit

I may want to try HUE (T639) again, but it's too little too late, esp Z780 will be out in several weeks
because by FCC doc, HUE has better TX on 3G than 6263, but voice quality is not good enough
I don't want T819 as the voice quality is too muffled

I have a T509 that I use for when I travel internationally, just pop in a local sim. It's great because it small, thin & actually fits in my change pocket in my jeans. Love it!
Visor Deluxe (Ice), Platinum (Black), Prism w/ Visor Fone, treo 270, treo 600, Unlocked GSM Pa1mOne branded treo 650, Palm branded Unlocked treo 680 (graphite), UBiQUiO 503g, & now HTC TyTNII TMO

The T809 was by far the best phone I have owned.  Sadly, it met a rather tragic end, but I've been meaning to pick up one on eBay.

The e315 was great too.  Samsungs are usually my preferred brand, but after the T809, TMo's offering of them just went downhill and I wound up with a POS Moto.

You can't take Samsung serious when you go to a T-Mobile store.

I have to say most samsungs suck but the only samsung that was nice was the T809 and the D807. I personally think all samsungs stink but my gf has the new katalyst and it looks and is pretty cool. Even Motorola is  better than samsung. I personally prefer Sidekicks (LX and 3) and Blackberry's.

"CDMA" is another cellular technology used by Sprint, Alltell, Verizon and a few other operators in the US and other operators worldwide.

gsm is the 2g verison of tdma... time division multiplexing access
gsm also stands for global systems for mobile

I loved my E635. I would love to see something like the F700 on Vodafone make it on T-Mobile.
