samsung katalyst date not showing on the home screen

is there anyway to make the date appear on the homescreen? the tmobile logo took its place over the date once my phone got done porting over on the upper left hand corner. i read the manual but it didnt help thanks

It's because you use myfaves. the myfaves icon is where the service indicator is intended to be, so the only other place the samsung firmware can place the service indicator is over the date. If you do a master reset on your phone, in the brief second before it updates your myfaves, you can see the date in the corner and the service indicator (T-mobile) where the myfaves icon belongs

does any know if samsung is going to  make firmware update to fix that date problem on the katalyst i would of kept the phone if only the date showed on the main screen

with the screen off, completly, hold down the volume down button and you can see the time, date, and service bars over a white background. I would love for some updates to this phone's interface, it feels very incomplete to me.

Would the date reappear if you hide the myFaves iconds using the settings?

I hide mine by default by the way, prevents people from snooping in my phone and pulling the whole "HEY! why am I not in your 5?"
