I can't bump that one since I had the last post, but a few weeks ago I came across something interesting.

On another site, I clicked to email and it broight over their correct email address.

So i'm wondering if it's how Craigslist is coded?  If you notice when trying to contact someone on CL, it also often puts up two emails.  sometimes this other is part of the subject@gmail.com, other times it's one email (the craigslist@gmail), with part of the subject in the to field, but not as an email address.

So I'm thinking it's something with craigslist.  i wish I could remember the other site that it worked correctly with, i'll see if I can find it and will edit this, or repost my findings.

**edit** yes, when i click to contact beejive support, for example, it brings up support@beejive.com in the to field, all nice and proper.

It's just standard HTML.  You can program < a href="mailto:email@whatever.com" >Contact Us< /a >

And?  Craigslist is still broken, is all i'm saying.  I don't think it's the GMail client.

ive been meaning to put up a thread about this also, when you click on the email link in CL to respond to an ad in the to field i always get the per-(number)@gmail.com instead of @craigslist.org and have to go in and change it.  I havent tried sending mail from my yahoo account on the G1 to see if it does the same thing, but this is an annoying problem.

This isn't a bug with the home but rather a bug with Craigslist.  Their MailTo links aren't formed to web standards.  It may work with some browsers/e-mail clients but when you don't code to standards you can't guarantee anything.
