You can use the gmail app on your behold. Follow the same instructions as adding Google Maps.

That's pretty cool man.

I've been pondering doing a writeup with some of the info that's come out recently over on the blog, and this has sealed the deal I'm thinking!

So it doesnt give you auto-updates like the embedded email app does right? You just have to go and check it yourself?

Well, right around the time that the G1 came out this place just erupted with activity and I was not able to keep track of things the way I was able to....so they kind of went by the wayside :(  I've tried to get some written in the past, but I'm not too sure that they'll come back.  So, instead, I'm just keeping a lookout for cool stuff like what some of our intrepid members have been doing with the Behold and put that out there.  And of course, any time I do that I make sure that credit is given to where I see it coming from.  ;)

I must admit that since this phone has been able to be modded I've deemed this device "sexier" than I had originally thought after the first week of using it.

Forgive my ignorance but what exactly is a Gmail APP? If it's simply the e-mail doesn't the Behold already have it? Under e-mail in the message section you get a list of several e-mail services and gmail is one of them. If it's already there why would you have to do anything?

I would venture to say that you can get your other email thru the Gmail App without using your message bucket. But you have unlimited messages anyways, so probably not applicable to you....

Did you try the link from the first post in this thread?  The link that I posted was just for information for those that did not know what the Gmail app was.

I got the app loaded on the phone and signed in, but everytime I go to refresh, it says that I need to have an active data connection. Anyone had this problem? Is there a fix?
