So we've decided to go with Tmo and want to start off with the Family Basic Plan with 2 lines. Now we were wondering what the cheapest option is to send and receive emails on our phones. That said, does the Unlimited Domestic Messages for Families add-on include emails too or will that be separate? If not, what would be the cheapest option for email?

Thanks a bunch you guys!

It does MMS. You can receive emails **********@tmomail.net. You can send them to email addresses.

yeah i think that will be the cheapest stay and its included with your $20 unlimited family text, mms, im otherwise it would be like $9.99 and higher for each phone to get emails on blackberry

I see, so if I want to send & receive email through my school account I'd have to purchase email separately right? If the cheapest email plan is 9.99, do they count by the number of emails you receive or give you a data quota?

Thanks!

AFAIK it's unlimited.  I have the T-Mobile Dash and have the $9.99 add-on for e-mail and I also have the $4.99 400 text messages add-on as well.

I can send/receive e-mails no problems.  I have several accounts set up as well.

Does T-Mobile still offer the email only plan since they changed their data plans a month ago?

Oh man if T-mobile has unlimited email for 9.99 I'd take it in an instant! If not then I guess I'm screwed.

$9.99 email only was for blackberries and when the plans changed a few weeks ago, they stopped offering it.  It really depends on what kind of phone you are using how much it would cost for email.  You can still get it for 9.99 with the web2go plan but that's only 100mb of data per month so depending on how much you plan on sending/receiving emails, you may not be able to make it all month.
