I've been busy with things and haven't had time to keep up with what's been going on Android-wise for the last 9 months or so.

The contract for one of my lines is coming up soon and I'm thinking about picking up an Android phone if I don't get a Blackberry Bold. What's good these days? What's not?

Any especially good hardware out there, or anything with software that's too locked down?

The bottom line is that the Nexus One is light years ahead of any of the Android phones that T-Mobile sells.

 Thanks Jet.

Looks like I can't get a Nexus upgrade, and I don't really feel like paying full price for it.

None of the other handsets out there looking too interesting. After doing a little more research, looks like there's some spiffy new ROMs out there, but most of the hardware specs are till pretty similar to the G1 I got rid of last Feb or March.

I'm thinking I'll just pick up another Blackberry and give Android another year or two and see if there's anything interesting then.
