SK 3G?

Next year.

If tmobile got the Sidekick runnin 3G its gonna make them the most money of all the phones they have they would be really rich. Right now the Sidekicks all of them sell like  crazy whereever i go i see someone with a sidekick. I myself have a sidekick and am really looking forward to a 3G sidekick and maybe some tabbed web browsing. oh yea and wats UMA?

yeah the next sidekick has to be 3g since they are coming out with 3g october but i agree with most people here a sidekick is a young persons phone and im a young person so i dont care about that statistic i cant wait for it though and what is uma

UMA is the technology that enables a cellular phonecall to switch between the GSM network and a WiFi network.  It's used for Hotspot calling for example.  It requires a phone that supports the feature though.

hey with a price tag of $400 lx that had no video recording until late july,sorry camera, no mms, no alarm clock,etc.. expect an $500 device for a sk3g. I wonder if danger would ever step their  game up.......... 3.2 megapixel, longer video recording, more affordable,better browser.

Yea i think they serriously need to get the video recording time to at least 5 mins. also it think it will probably cost 299.99 with a new 2 year contract casue none of the phones hey  have are over 299.99 with 2 year contract.

A couple months ago I recorded a convo between me and a customer care rep where he told me T-Mobile is working on a 3G Sidekick and it may also have a touch screen. he said the touch screen part is still up in the air but he 3G sidekick is most def in the works

Well, first the care reps know about as much as we do as far as what's coming up.  I'm sure some of the reps on this site will say just as much as well. 

Also, I hope that you are aware of the telephone recording laws in your State....   Some of them can be a little iffy.  I don't think that I would have recorded a conversation.

i love the hardware and OS, I hate that I can't install third-party apps.  It's why my SK2 was not replaced by a SK3

otherwise, sidekicks are awesome and the keyboard is amazing.  I looked for a 3G sidekick coming soon and for a sidekick with wifi or not so locked down before getting another phone.  ah well.

yea sidekicks have the best screen a Sharp Aquos HD 465K color screen and the keyboard is just amazing the best keyboard that ive ever used or seen. If only u could download 3rd party appilications and tabbed web broswing with 3G it will be complete and will sell like crazy everyone will buy them but remember the cost will increase to about 300 to 350 dollars for this kind of phone with a 2 year contract. The G1 will be nothing compared to the sidekick with these changes added. [=

Yea ur prolly right. The G1 would be crap compared 2 the sidekick with those features

and no data for texting pics videos or IM

yea but then i would still go with the g1 even though i have only used one sidekick i didnt like it and i dont like the price tag im a poor man i cant afford four hundred for a new phone although i just did which i belive is cuz im selling my sidekick slide

if u go to hiptop3.com its right there it tells u a little about it

Well that's good to know!  I can't say that I've looked for info on them....
