Has anyone had any luck with their products on T-mobile? I'm looking for a decent smartphone to use until T-mobile decides to release some 3G smartphones.

I-Mate works well on T-Mobile but can't get 3G on them.

I know HTC pretty much made almost all their phones for a while. So i would argue they are normally pretty good as far as windows mobile phones go.

Oh I should go look.

OMG the Ultimate 6150 & 7150 has 1700/2100 UMTS Bands.

Velocity 111 & 103 Support it too.

Forget it then.

This devices were just released & past released.

I have decided to post an actual 3G compatible phone section in the morning this will be done sometime between 12 - 2 PM CST.
This list will include T-Mobile 3G & Surprisingly Non-Tmobile 3G.
You will receive an url that will re-direct you to this special thread.
Hope to see you there.
Just because they have a 1700 band does not make them an AWS capable device.  We already know that neither of the Velocity Mobile devices are going to work.

Which one have you tried the 1700 or 1900 one?

Sorry but how would you know I just noticed that they haven't been FCC approved yet lmfao.

Personally, I've tried neither.  However another user has already called and asked about the 103 to see if it would work, and it will not.  http://forums.tmonews.com/index.php?topic=2134.msg35028#msg35028

Would I like them to work?  Of course.  However I don't see it happening.

I know.  But why have one not work and the other work?  You'd think they'd want to get their phones into as many hands as possible seeing as how they are a new manufacturer.

Well it states that one has 1700 in place of the 1900 850/1900/2100 UMTS bands & 850/1700/2100 i'm now seeing this on more than one phone manufactured & so far Its only velocity, sony & i-mate who knows but sony xperia x1 will work seems that person might have had the wrong version since its a lil tricky to get your hands on the 1700 handset as i'm finding out.

....basically, I guess we'll find out all this stuff once the devices actually hit the stores.  I would love to have that VM with the qwerty below the screen, not sure which that was anymore....

The Velocity 111 isn't that bad looking and has decent specs. T-Mobile should have had the good sense to release 3G enabled phones for all users. Don't get me wrong, the G1 is nice, but it doesn't fill my needs for a smartphone. Maybe I'll wait and see if the Shadow 3 is 3G, lol.

Brb i'm gonna look & post an actual list here.

Phones that do support T-Mobile 3G 1700/2100:

Velocity 103 - 1700 Not Released Yet
Velocity 111  - Not Yet Released
Ultimate 6150 - Released
Ultimate 8150 - Released
Sony Xperia X1 - Not Yet Released

It is sad to only see 5 phones out of 1000s able to use Tmo 3G.

They are just another phone manufacturer......although they pretty much just rebadge HTC devices.

I just searched a directory of phones. Now I know not to trust GSM Arena because they gave some of T-Mobiles phones only 2100 when Phone Arena gave me 1700. Every phone I posted has 2 versions 1700 model 1900 model.

http://www.phonearena.com/htmls/i-mate-Ultimate-8150-phone-p_1994.html

Who wants to test these out since I don't have 3G here? Oh & good luck finding the 850/1700/2100 Handset.
