i live in HI and still no change from UPS since yesterday.

Other than time-definite air deliveries, shipments are generally delivered anytime between the hours of 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. to residences, and by close of business for commercial addresses. UPS cannot schedule a specific delivery time within that window.


What should I do if I'm expecting a delivery?
This is the most up-to-date information about the status of your shipment.  For residential deliveries that require a signature, you can leave instructions for the driver if no one will be home. For example, you can ask that it be delivered to a neighbor who will be home. Shipments that don't require a signature can be left in a safe place at the driver's discretion.

mines didnt change for a long time then all of a sudden it was 2 hours away.. so im sure it will be on time

I saw my tracking information right now and it says delivery date of 10/20/08. Im so Happy right now. I live in Jersey and the distribution center is here in New Jersey that's why I'm getting it so quick. 2 whole days before store lauch this is awesome!!@@@!!

Same here man...delivery date of the 20th...I simply can't wait.  Left KY on the 17th.

MY G1 HAS BEEN SITTING IN HODGKINS, IL FOR THE LAST TWO DAYS AND I HAVE SEEN OTHER PHOENIX RESIDENTS PHONES ALREADY IN THE AREA. NOT COOL!!!

What are the chances that even if its scheduled for the 20th and in the area...UPS will hold it until the 22nd? I just don't want to get my hopes up for the 20th only to be reeeeaaallly disappointed.

mine has arrived in my city and is just sitting idle in the ups store, i so wish i could just go and pick it up now, but at least i know its a for sure thing monday. really though, my phone was only a hour away at most, in louisville, so i am surpised i am getting it this early, b/c of how close i am, they could have actually timed mt delivery to be on the 22nd.  oh well im not complaing. now ill be waiting on my headphone adapter and new isolation headphones for playing drums to my music.

also i am very excited to see tune wiki on the app market,  as at first it wasnt and am so glad that they didnt wait to charge for the app.

I really doubt they will hold it, and even if they were going to hold it, that date would be reflected in the delivery date field on the tracking page.  Tmobile shipped these so that most people got them around the 22nd- if they wanted to, they could have instructed UPS (for an extra charge) to hold the packages up until the 22nd.

Yup same thing with me.  Billing info since the 15th with no changes since.  Just waiting it out.  I wonder if it would even update date on Sunday or if I'll have to wait until monday to get more info.

lol think of how crazy people would be if this was the days when there was no shipping info you could get. Once it was in the big UPS chain it would get there when it gets there.

Ok sorry, I'm not really trying to be rude.  Just a little tired of all these posts.  I mean look at all these people that are upset for nothing.  T-mobile is doing exactly what they promised.  We are getting the G1 before it hits stores, and we don't have to stand in line.  I'm just glad I don't work for T-mobile or UPS for that matter.  Must be crazy to be an employee at either place right now!

yeah that was uncalled for. We are all here venting our emotions over this amazing device that we all so salivate to have in our hands right now. We are very frustrated with the delays, changes...or for some people, even no changes (billing info received). Its only right to say something to the people that understand...

Awww you poor thing.  Myself and a few friends here in the valley are all showing the same thing as you.  Why are you wasting so much emotion on something so trivial?
