I have been really excited! It's like when I got the iPhone for the first time!
In all seriousness. It's pretty nice. A lot better than I expected. Here are some screen shots..I've only had it for 1 day and am still learning it.
So far, the free programs are pretty good. The barcode program works well with electronics but still had a long list of products to add into the database. You can tell it's a first generation phone, but it's a damn good one indeed.

Lol. Nice.

The browser is really nice I must say. It's finally nice to use a browser on a cellphone that matches the browser on my iPhone. I am still a little angry about having to use a USB to 3.5mm adapter but the music player is smooth. And the Amazon MP3 store is very comparable to the portable iTunes store with the 30 second previews being a touch away.

If anyone wants a screenshot of any particular thing on the phone. Let me know. I don't have my video camera with me to record videos and only my SLR camera. Sorry for the lack of video :( I'm sure there are ton of YouTube videos showing the G1 already.

Awesome! Also could you take a few shoots of the email application, not the Gmail version but the email application for the additional email accounts that you can get via pop3 or imap.  Also any specs on this would be greatly appreciated.

As you can see. There are quite a few programs already. They are all free currently, with the big rumor being that most of the applications will very competitive with what you currently see on the iPhone. The rumor is that the barcode program will actually go for $20. It better be a heck of a lot better and have a much better database if they are going to collect that kind of money.

I currently have my gmail account installed but I am working on putting my Yahoo one and seeing how that goes. Give me a few moments while I get that working on the G1

I'm jealous of myself. I'm afraid if I walk down the street with the phone, someone will rob me. haha..

Anyways, regarding my Yahoo! email account. Just set it up! It's smooth! VERY SMOOTH. It's just as good as using my GMAIL. There were no issues at all. I had to put in the incoming and outgoing servers. That was about all the manual work I did. Even tried emailing people from my contact list and it asked me whether I wanted to use my Gmail or my Yahoo mail to send the mail! It was very nice! Populated the screen for me too.

You won't be disappointed!! I can tell you that much. I really am not trying to be smug. I am just lucky to have it early and I wanted to just re inform everyone who ordered one that this is an amazing phone. And I have played with a bronze one and I must say, the bronze one does look really damn good too.

What exactly do you want to know regarding the IM interface? I'll take pictures here in a minute...   I can't talk much about how I have the phone in my hands. :) I just do.
