I diont really see the point in releasing this phone?
Same as the behold, just a bit better. I cant see why spend extra dooh for extra 3mp on the camera.
Why buy a Replica phone when the Sidekick, Wing 2 and hopefully a couple of HTC DEVICES devices coming our way? I will keep my Behold until one of the above is worth it. |

As much as I agree about the wing 2, new HTC devices and really anything Android, I think this phone makes plenty of sense. I'd pay extra for 3 mp on my stand alone digital camera, why not on my phone since I enjoy being able to take spontaneous shots with my phone if I don't have my camera. From what it seems, this phone will be more than just 3mp added though. It should have a far photo quality, and a pretty good flash. It is also a very important phone to people who don't need the capabilities, and the data plan, that comes with a smartphone. I'm excited about this phone, even more excited than the new HTC androids because i have my smartphone covered, just not on Tmobile. This would be a great fun phone.

the Behold already sells for 150 w free bluetooth.
So I guess the Memoir will be 200 with a rebate.
At this point my guess is it will be slightly better than the Behold (better camera, flash, headphone jack) but the software will pretty much be the same...
The point of this phone: It can be justified because up until last month you were paying 200 for the Behold, now you would be paying the same for a slicker camera and a complete featured 3g phone.
Hopefully the look will be slick as well and some of the Pixon features will also be present (Divx? Background programs running?).
Oh well at least some minor specs came out, let's hope we get more as we approach the due date...
PS I have to agree that this is poor marketing, instead of prepping the market for the first US 8 Megapixel Camera no one at T-Mo talks about this phone....

exactly... i dont need internet, or anything im 17 and i like taking pictures but cant afford to buy a camera. Either i get a camera or a phone.... So im still holding up for this, i mean besides whats the point of me having internet when theirs no 3g were i live. None of the 6 providers in my area have 3g here. I just want a good phone with a good cam on it. To capture those good moments i have. |
