I don't know why.....but every time I see or think of vtech I think of children's toys.

They seem to try and design their stuff as "hip" and market to a younger generation. Weren't they the ones that first started ringtones for home phones as well as home phones that looked like cellphones (RAZR's)?

Actually, it's probably because of stuff like this.  That and as I was growing up (and getting older) they released all kinds of other learning toys and stuff.

Haha, well... I guess it's kind of like if TYCO or MATTEL dabbled a bit in creating something like, say, a blender or a kitchen knife set. Everytime you saw their toys you'd be all, "Erm..." Then again, you'd say the same thing when looking at that blender  ;D

I used to have vtech cordless phone, it sucked
I need 5.8GHz phone to avoid wifi interference, but one model I had claimed 5.8GHz, it doesn't (uplink was still 2.4GHz, caused tons of problem with wifi and bt
bought Uniden (Ratshak branded), and very happy (and it's pretty solid)

Well.....it probably is.

Seeing as how the thread is titled and there is no description to go along with the picture!  I bet that's exactly what it is!  ;)

Well, actually I have seen official pictures of the phone from T-Mobile, and that is it.  It's the phone they're going to sell to go with the @Home service.  Pretty much your standard cordless, except it has a voicemail button for people too dumb to call "123"

The v-tech phone is indeed the phone that t-mobile@home will be tagged along with as an accessory. You can definitely use your existing touch-tone phone. The benefit to the v-tech phones would be the dedicated voicemail button (as stated above) as well as a pre programmed shortcut to the 24hr customer care for t-mo@home.
