T-Mo Testing 3G In Detroit Market

Well I'll be in Virginia for a week or so November 5th on, I hope when I come back it's up and running, if not sooner!

I think 3g is launched! I see the icon on my 6263!

Only Edge/GPRS here

I'm gonna be going to class tomorrow morning on Hall Rd, so I'll see if it's out there yet. If it's not I doubt it's on.

update: i get a working 3G signal on hall rd near macomb. its spotty once i get into mcc's parking lot but it does work and it is quite fast!

I My G1 is COnnected TO 3G in L-Town!!!!  WHOot WHoot!!!  THats a Suburb 20 minutes WEst of Detroit if ya didnt know!!!  YEsssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!

3G is working on Schoenher all the way to Hall, it stops at 24, which is coincidentally where I live :/

I think im getting a lil bit of 3g love in detroit ...im near southfield fwy and ford rd...only thing is it keeps switching between edge and 3g in the middle of downloads which renders the download unsuccessful...but the way the pages load faster is pretty schweet...not as fast as wifi but fast enough for when not near a wireless hotspot...once the 3g network becomes a lil stronger, we should be getting some pretty good speeds...

This is great!!! My G1 is out for deliver now so this works out perfect. 

I got an average of 1250 kbps in warren, MI. Just north of detroit. Yay!

hmm... i live on 22 mile, so i'm hoping it will work (fast internet in school [which is on 21]!!)
well right now i don't even have a 3G phone.. but i'm going to get the behold when it comes out, but i think my dads phone is 3G so i'll try it out in a minute

edit* just kidding, my dad's phone doesn't have internet XD

My dad lives over on 22 between Van Dyke and Schoenher and it works.

I was able to get 3G at Livernois and Walton in Rochester but not at Tienken and Livernois. Even was I was connect, it was going back and forth between 3G and Edge. I might get down to Southfield this week, I'm curious to see how 3G is there.

I'm surprised coverage goes so far down river and so close to Ann Arbor just at launch.

3G coverage in the Detroit area was recently added to the T-Mobile coverage map. it goes out pretty far.
