there has been so many complants on this phone. it runs on slow mhz. if you overclock it you could possibly break it. so what new HTC device will replace it?

the wing is $500 with no contract

I don't know if T-Mo will continue to carry WinMo phones.  If Android is as successful as we're hoping, i would drop Microsoft for Google any day.

good point...does microsoft have any sort of contract with tmobile (or any other carriers for that matter) that would force them to carry a certain number of winmo devices in their lineup?

in my opinion, a freaking CINDER BLOCK could replace the wing.  I am seriously about to leave tmobile on at least a few of the phones on my account so i can get a decent winmo phone.  of course im staying for android, though Smiley

I predict everyone will be VERY happy with what comes to replace the Wing.  More info will come soon (I know, I sound like schenkp, but I think I've proven myself a bit more reliable over time) and I am very excited about the phone so far.  Keep up hopes as it looks like a winner, but definitely not until 2009 Sad

2009? WOW. T-Mobile likes to milk the cow. The Wing is still $299 with 2 year contract. They need to drop the price to like $149 or something.

More like drop it to $50. It doesn't really compete with any of the smart phones out.

some places like Fry's electronics or some privately owned wireless stores actually do offer it for $50-100 with a new contract. ive actually seen it for free a few times on special weekends.

obviously tmobile wouldnt do this directly however

Oh no. Makes people anxious. The device ain't flying off the shelves. I hope its better than the Tilt, and/or equivalent to the Touch Diamond/Pro.

It is actually a new phone that has not been yet launched or announced.  It is a very nice looking phone, but trust me, you haven't seen it anywhere yet.
