It's no secret, I'm a huge fan of HTC products and with 2 post on this site showing off the new hardware/software, how do you all feel?

Personally, I love the design. Simple in the front and back, nice and clean, very thin-All +'s for me.  With that being said, the specs have me somewhat confused.

*VGA front cacing camera when we have current HTC's with 1.3 and 2 megapixel cameras? I don't get it. I totally understand that pixel count does not equal a better image, but I can't help but feel the same way I felt when looking over the specs of the Galaxy Nexus, finding out it had a 5 megapixel shooter when my wife's GS2 has an 8-just odd.

*Also, qHD is lovely to behold on a 4.3" screen, my wife who is not a techy praises the sharpness of my XE's screen despite having a SuperAmoled display.  However, I feel that HTC/T Mobile should've made a statement by having a 720p screen like the Rezound.  Although, with that being said, a qHD SuperAmoled screen in very enticing.

As much as I am excited to see such a slim model HTC, udpated processor, nicer screen tech, I can't help but feel that I'm not getting much over my Sensation XE. As much as I welcome the improvements that the Ville is bringing to the table, I can't help but feel HTC went a 3 steps forward but then 2 steps back when it comes to some of the hardware choices of the Ville...

So, how do you all feel?
I wish my battery kept up with my phone

The main thing about this phone is the next gen processor (Qualcomm S4 @ 28nm). Another is the qHD SAMOLED screen which will look very nice over the Sensation & Amaze screens. But hopefully the ROM will be improved from the videos we've recently seen. HATED the settings animation.

Agreed.

HTC went HAM with the animations in the latest Sense build.  As is, my XE, Sensation and Amaze booted with anywhere between 100 to 150 MB's of available RAM.  We know that the XE and Sensation both have 768 MB's of RAM, Amaze and Ville both have 1 Gig.  It is no secret that Sense is a RAM hog-which I am okay with as long as they fix the choppiness and eliminate the lag... I want to say, "you know they will" however T Mo and HTC did release the Sensation with a ROM that was awefully slow and laggy until the very first firmware udpate (at least mine was).

The screen and udpted processor does have me excited.  I guess the deciding factor for me will be, 1) removable battery and 2) removable micro SD.

Think G-Nexus. You're able to use the whole 16/32GB internal memory for whatever u like instead of it being partitioned.

It comes with 32gb, but yeah I'm not loving the no sd slot.  But that is the way the I-phone has always been so it can't be that bad, they do sell a few of those I-phones.

Even tho I like the one partition way, not having the ability to remove my data off the internal memory because the phone malfunctioned, screen breaks, etc, I have a problem with. How do I get my data off the internal memory?

That's a huge drawback... However, I am pleased with 32 Gigs of internal, especially considering HTC phones have Mass Storage mode which allows me to back up onto my portable HD and PS3... With that being said, a 32 Gig Ville with a 32 Gig card would be pretty bad ass as I currently have a 32 Gig Class 4 Sandisk in my XE. I passed on the GSM Galaxy Nexus as it only had 16 Gigs of internal :(

Is the battery also non-removable? If so, we may have a problem...

That is one of the limitations of the iPhone that I particularly DISLIKE, obviously.  I am in to flexibility, not what a particular manufacturer thinks is best for me, in their opinion.
What other advantage is there in not including removable storage other than the minot cost savings related to the HW and SW required to support removable storage?
Seems like HTC is taking a step back here.

Instead of luring Apple's iPhone into using the SDCard, HTC was lured by iPhone not to include it?... Bummer. I agree that giving more flexibility to consumers is a long-term win-win approach.

I don't see anybody luring Apple into using micro sd, they have never had, don't think they ever will.

@Jhop  Hadn't thought of that scenario, I know if rooted there are ways to mirror the screen etc.  But at least in regards to pictures I have been using Google+ to instant upload, so at least I know I will never loose another good pic.

Not just a messed up screen, but what if the phone totally crapped out? Then your SOL. And not only pictures, but your backed-up apps & their data, new files you haven't backed-up to your PC yet, etc. With microSD u can just simply pop it out and put it into a microSD slot. No one wants to back up to their PC almost every day.

Cant wait for the official unveiling... The rumored specs continue to change on us and it's only adding to the excitement and anxiety, lol.

4.7" qHD screen now vs the orignal rumored 4.3"-no confirmation of the super amoled screen :(  The clocked speed is now 1GHz vs 1.5 GHz and I'm wondering if the battery will be fixed or replaceable... Looks like we're now getting 16 Gigs of internal PLUS micro SD expansion (NICE)...

Lets see what hilds up and what doesnt...

I'm sure those are a bit incorrect. Plus benchmarks has it @ 1.5GHz. And im sure it'll be a 4.3" qHD (540p) S-LCD, and not a 4.7", which is the HTC EDGE/One X

Those specs clearly were... I was going by a recent post on this site, however I am now referring to the most recent post/press release regarding the Ville.

My biggest concern/disappointment has to be 1) small non removable battery, 2) 16 Gigs of non removable/expandable memory and 3) screen using pen time tech (although that may be a non issue in person).

I really dont want to rely on cloud services considering my reception at tines can be spotty. Also, it is simply more convenient for me to utilize my SD card. The battery thing is really a bummer, everyone knows that HTC phones have POOR battery life. My Sensation XE, Amaze 4g, Sensation, Desire HD, MT4g, HD2, TP2 ALL had poor battery life. I like to consider myself an experienced HTC user and it is painfully clear via user experience that a 1600 mAh non removable batt was not a smart decision on HTC's part and I dont care how efficiant ICS is...

Other than that, the phone looks nice. Really nice. Interestingly, the phone looks a little longer than the Sensation. Look at where the top of the screen ends and where the bezel picks up and ends at the top of the phone...

Either way, I'm still on the fence though. If the international One X allows me to get 3g speeds on T Mo's network (as my international XE does), I may just go for that. A buddy of mine owns a Sensation XL and another buddy of mine owns a GSM Galaxy Nexus (both of which are equal in size), the One X seems similar in size to these two so it wont be terribly bigger than my Sensation XE.
