But that's not a problem, Nokia.com will have it available upon release.  I don't mind importing a phone, either.  That's how I ended up with my N8 and desire HD.

Amazon will probably offer this one off contract in the US, as well, much like a handful of retailers are doing in the UK.

This is a beautiful phone. However, my main concern is support for the OS. There's another blog site which recently reported carriers in Mexico receiving the N9 which I thought was interesting. If Nokia made a statement that they would stand behind this OS, I would definitely look further into the N9, I can't really on 3rd party or independant communities for apps, etc.

Shame. Nokia reminds me of HTC in a lot of ways. Great build on their top tier phones...
