Hey I am finally looking into going to another carrier bc after being with T-Mobile for 4 + years I still get very poor service at my house.  Wi-Fi calling was the best option but doesn't work to great on my android phone..  It worked best when I had a blackberry 8320 but I've given that to my dad bc he was in need of a phone.

Anyway I've got the unlock code for this phone and was thinking about using it for just voice and text, internet only in wifi zones.  ATT has got this $25 prepaid plan with unlimited text/im/mms and 250 minutes which would be perfect for my use.  I am just wondering has anyone had experience with this phone working on ATT?  Also is there anything I would need to do in order to make sure my MMS work bc I enjoy using that feature.

I wish I could stay with tmobile but I can't stand the service at my house anymore and my wife will have full bars with ATT sitting right next to me.  I thought ATT was the logical choice since it is a GSM network so I wouldn't need to change phones, I know it works here and they have a cheap prepaid plan that will get me by.

Thanks in advance for any information.

If your phone is unlocked, it should work fine.

As for MMS, I'm sure you can find the necessary settings from AT&T if the device doesn't already have the settings built in (which it may.)

Ok so voice and text work right away.  In order to get MMS working I used this link http://www.lgforum.com/forum/boards/carriers/t-mobile/topics/lg-g2x-unlocked-is-not-connecting-to-internet-with-att-carrier

some of the important mms settings were missing so then I used this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QmmNHiFDybo

For me leaving the APN type blank instead of setting as default as it says on the first link worked for me.  If you know where the settings are at I recommend just using the youtube video to set it up.  Now I'm wondering if I pay for the $50 unlimited plan if the web will work even though AT&T claims its only for select phones not smart phones.  Anyone able to shed light on that?

Devices that aren't sold by AT&T have been known to work on their $50 unlimited plan even though they are smartphones.
