Good ideas, but I think it needs to have two sides of the marketing strategy..."mysterious" and fun(the t-droid character; or really funny commercials)
Mysterious could be like the VZW 4g lte commercials that make you want to have that exclusive, amazing, futuristic product and have the best of the best. Incorporate the HSPA+ 42 in it and compare it to 4G LTE and show how HSPA+ 42 can reach 25mbps on a loaded network. So while Verizon's saying 5-12, we can say 12-25 or something.
Also a good thing to incorporate is how 3G phones can take advantage.
So they can take the spots of *largest*, *fastest*, and, finally, *fastest phones*.
Largest because 200 million are covered with 4G 21, and 140 million will have 4G 42 very soon.
Fastest because of HSPA+ 42, on par with LTE or faster
Fastest phones because of the ALMOST 40 3G/4G devices which all can take advantage of 3G and 4G, too. Unlike Verizon and Sprint's 4G networks, which only have a few devices that can have 4G.
ALSO, an important point is that T-Mobiles 4G is also the best because unlike Sprint and Verizon's 4G technology, no matter how fast you're downloading, you're battery won't take a huge hit, because of the HSPA+ technology.
Finally, in terms of average data speeds in my mind that I've seen around.. T-Mobile's 4G 21mbps is..
About 3x faster than Sprint's 4G. (Sprint is about 2-3mbps average, T-Mo is about 4-8mbps average; so about 6.)
About 4x faster than ATT 4G. (Never seen speeds higher than 3mbps, so compare that with a Galaxy S 4G's AVERAGE max of 10-12mbps.)
--If you compare theoretical data speeds like T-Mo likes to do-- again, this hspa+21
About 2x faster than Sprint's 4G which is 10mbps max
About 1.5x faster than ATT 4G, which is 14.4mbps max
If you raise that to HSPA+ 42, see those average numbers rise to..
I could see it being on par with LTE, 6x faster than Sprint, 5x faster than ATT
So it really is the BEST 4g network.
Throw in some intense music, Carly in some space station throwing around some lightning bolts(lol), etc.
