Windows 8 M1 Build 7850 leaked on Apr. 12, 2011 it is a build from September 2010 and does not have many changes. Microsoft is inserting timebombs into these builds. So far the only problem I see is Sound is not working in Google Chrome.

There are between 100 to 200 NEW features missing from this list.

Also Windows 8 or 365 will be come pre-loaded with IE10 as you should know IE10 Platform Preview 1 is now available.

I won't post screenshots of M1 because theres not much change. However once M3 is here I will post those.

Builds list is here: http://www.windows7newsinfo.com/smf/index.php?topic=14377.0;wap2

They seem to be heading in the direction like Google Chromium OS is heading. An app store w/ a Gmail sign-on. Someone leaked photos of what the final will look like but I don't think it will look like that. But we won't know what the final will look like when they change the UI in either Beta 2 or 3.

Nope. Just one. It is stable enough.

Microsoft has been hidding new features by locking them down and not being able to enable unless you have the right registry key. Each Milestone build has a timebomb of some sort and at some point a different kind of hack to activate. I just managed to activate 7955 which is from Feb. 28, 2011.

oh ok.. I wonder how u can manage having to keep installing new builds, and installing programs all over again.. isn't that annoying? I only reinstalled Windows (Vista) on my current computer once.

I'll go crazy if I had to keep reinstalling programs.. I wonder if Windows has a program similar to Titanium Backup for programs.. but from what I have read, u HAVE to reinstall programs, and there is no other way around that :(

I understand your concern.

FIX: Google Chrome (NO Sound issue)

Instructions:
Select the Wrench -> Options -> Under the Hood -> Disable Individual Plugins -> Details -> Disable Flash File #1 of 2 (@ location C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\12.0.742.9\gcswf32.dll)

You now have sound ENJOY!

FIX: Firefox 4.0 (SUDO non-complete issue + Crash issue upon open)

Make sure you run the install as administrator that will fix the installer not opening and SUDO won't pop-up

When Firefox opens you have to react very fast to close the left page of the 2 because it will crash if you don't

RedPill (An unlocker for hidden features) is available for 7955

Windows 7 Beta 32-bit keys work for activation

I could use the snipping tool but what is there to show really? It still looks like Windows 7 with a bit of changes here and there and some changes are still under lock and key. Thats why i'm waiting till Build 8000 at least because then there would be enough changes.

Windows 8 M3 Build 7959 Enterprise Edition X64 has leaked (3/7/11).

Note: There are many issues with this build.

AERO as you know is NOT ENABLED in Enterprise Server Editions. To ENABLE AERO you must actually download the drivers for Windows 7 x64 bit for your product. You must install it. It won't install the drivers but it installs a directory like ATI in which you can go into it through the device manager and click your display driver. You want to update it and you want to find the file. You must point it to a .inf which is most likely in the drivers folder of the GPU program install. Once pointed to it you will see a list of drivers and select the one that you know you have then it will install and enable AERO fully.

Bluetooth DOES NOT work in this build. I've been unable to install mine. But some might work.

Sound must be enabled individually by clicking the audio icon and hitting yes to enable it.

Wi-Fi/Wired connection must be enabled by going into the Control Panel -> Programs & Features -> Add/Remove Windows Features (It will be disabled until you install the feature and will ignore any enabling)

IE9 will block many sites from downloading until you shut off the Security which is in the Server Manager that pops up when you start Windows you must turn off IE ESC for Administrators & Users.

Password must have a Capital, More than 8 characters w/ Alphanumeric + Number characters or it won't accept.

Desktop Experience will need to be installed for AERO, Windows Media Player & Photo Viewer.
