Hey, I am currently a student at USC and I was looking online for deals on an iPhone 4. This website gives back 1.5% cash reward to students when they purchase from the Apple Store for Education, which I think already gives a % off your purchase.http://studentrate.com/StudentRate/umd/get-umd-student-deals/Apple-Student-Discounts--/0 I am looking at starting a new contract with verizon most likely. That was the best deal I could find... Anyone has a better deal?

Look into this carefully.  I've tried 8 ways to Sunday to stack my Education Discount with other discounts and I have found Apple will not allow stacking; it's been either/or with them.

If you find a crack in the system, so to speak, and can stack, please post.

Good luck!

I just want to reflect on my experience with Studentrate - I followed the link they provided in the deal and it took me to the education store where I purchased a Macbook pro and some accessories. 2 days later, i got an email from apple notifying me that the item had shipped and that same day I saw the cash back credited to my account on the site. I have about $18 in cash back at this point and i think you need like $20 to cash out. So I don't thin it is considered "stacking" discounts because it has nothing to do with Apple... hope this helps!

Do you know what kind of discount you get from the apple education store? Do they sell the same stuff that you can find at an apple store?

OP, clicked your link it mentions an Apple Back to School deal where you buy a MAC and get $100 to spend at the MAC Store plus 3% cash back now. Do you know if the prices of the MACs are lower through their Education store?

I think they are cheaper at the education store, but not by that much. Anything helps though right

If you clicked on the link the deal says, get 3% cash back on your purchases from the apple ed store. So it's 3% cash back on your entire purchase, computers, software, hardware etc

I heard aperture is a good program to get if you're looking to edit photos

Aperture is just like iphoto but of course you can do more. If you already have photoshop I would recommend Lightroom because you can interchange them. Like save your work in lightroom and open it in photoshop, which can be convenient.

I don't have photoshop but was looking at photoshop elements? Seems like an easier version of photoshop.

They're giving 4% cash back now, so when you get a macbook it's almost $60 :)

When you buy online from the Apple store for Education, do you have to prove your student status at any point?

I think that if you go to the Apple store they ask to see your student ID but online you can just get it there is no verificaiton process

you just need to show your id at the store, or you can shop online and just pick your school.
and you can also use the cash back with studentrate.
