So inactive

I remember this forum would get tons of posts every day...in 2009 there was 372 people online..now in 2011 there 3 online at a time at best...it needs to be advertised more.

It wasn't really advertised much at all then, either. There was just a good-sized group of people who frequented here and posted more. I think all the posts and discussion brought more people to log in. There are tons of guests here at all times.

Edit: March of this year also shows the wackiest stat when compared to the relative inactivity here: The highest number of new members ever! (1059)

Wow! So people are joining but not posting..hmm. Maybe a forum UI update that would make it cleaner and easier to use would make it more inviting

I somehow doubt that a simple forum UI update would make it more inviting. It's possible, but in the end.. a forum is a forum, it simply depends on the users/members of that forum to make it enticing. Interesting topics plus multiple interesting replies all over every board could jumpstart stuff, I guess. I think people are more interested in commenting on blog posts than they are in participating in forums these days, anyway.
