G = GPRS = dial-up speeds (56K)

E = EDGE = old DSL speeds (200K)

H/H+ = HSPA/HSPA+ = between newer DSL (1.5mbps) to coax broadband speeds (5mbps+)

G = 32kbps to 56kbps (i think 100kbps theoretical peak?)
E = 100kbps to 300kbps (i think 500kbps peak?)
H = HSPA+ provides speeds between 3mbps and 6mbps, peak average speeds of 12mbps on a MT4G, theoretical peak of 14-15mbps. HSPA has a peak of 7.2mbps and an average of 1000kbps to 3000kbps.

G you'll never get much above 32K it usually has a peak of around 30 - 40K range
E is 70K Peak w/ a max of 128 and 256 in popular cities
H you must take 7.2 / 3 = 2.4Mbps - 3.6Mbps; you could get lower due to traffic or weather
H+ 3.6Mbps higher
