Hey guys, I was wondering what phone you can stream Netflix with on T-Mobile. I found this deal online to sign up for Netflix with like a $10 rebate and I thought that it would be really cool if I could use it on my new phone like I have seen people do on iphones. Does it work? This is where I found the deal btw so you can take advantage of it if you want. I think it is a student discount http://www.studentrate.com/studentrate/bentley/get-bentley-student-deals/Netflix-Student-Discounts--/0 ...

Thanks for the discount. I don't know about using Netflix on your phone but I've been wanting to try it for my tv.

I think they track your sign up automatically and then credit your Studentrate account with the money. The you can request payment when you get to a certain point.

I don't think I would ever want to watch movies on my phone, but I do want to get netflix. How do you register on that site if you're not a student?? or can you?

No, Netflix has a server-side DRM block on it, so even if you use the App that's been leaked - it still won't work unless Netflix has approved the device on their end.  Apparently it needs the newer DRM-enabled chipsets to work as well.

Boooooooooo!

I think they are making up stuff and netflix mobile servers aren't just activated yet. It will probably need some kind of authentication token like a code for approved devices.

It does activate to netflix but it shows obsolete for now. I think that version was a test version.

I have Netflix working on my HD2 which is running NAND Froyo!
New apk is up on XDA under Android app development.
Works great on 3G and WiFi.
Prefer WiFi as it does eat data.

I finally signed up for Netflix and I'm obsessed. I watched a couple movies on my computer the other day and I have 6 in my queue right now.

Just an FYI, it is confirmed that everyone can sign up on the Studentrate website with a .com email. No need for a referral or anything. Just check alumni at registration... my dad just signed up for netflix and i gave him that link so it should work for anyone http://studentrate.com/StudentRate/

Question about the "cash back"...when do you see it reflected on your studentrate account? and when can you request to get it?
