Like I wrote earlier to T1 when I saw that video. I remember hearing something about Google Chrome ridding of HTML5 but Microsoft would provide a Google Chrome plugin for the support as Google Chrome was heading towards WebM as its platform. All HTML5 tests did terrible in Google Chrome. While IE9 RC excelled these. Google Chrome nor IE9 are safer browsers because I still get pop-ups in both of them that could lead to damage to the desktop. Google Chrome has more stability as of right now. I'm not saying IE9 crashes because it doesn't like IE8 but there are glitches still. IE9 RC beats Google Chrome in the Sunspider JavaScript test now. I do find issues w/ flash in IE9 more than Google Chrome. But Flash has been glitchy. I want to just rid of it & make sites go Silverlight. When it comes to hacking tho Google Chrome gets first place.
Interesting, i'll keep that in mind. What do yo think of safari vs ie9 on html5, i refuse to put that in my notebook for a test....

.. is it really easier to develop on wp7 than other platforms ..

That's a loaded question. Some devs like more flexibility in the way they structure code and some like the abstraction of a framework that lets them do stuff quicker. Objective-C (iPhone) is related to C/C++ and is "closer to the metal" than Java or .Net, which both rely on a framework. I could tell you what my personal opinion on that is, but that may or may not be representative.
The initial learning curve for .Net and Java is probably not as steep as with Objective-C, but that only goes for absolute beginners (most devs that start mobile application development probably have some kind of knowledge/foundation in some related language).

One thing I will say, the IDE for .Net is the best there is (Visual Studio/Expression) - nothing compares to it.

why are the really good apps taking so long.

define "really good" ??
:D
So basically it depends on your skill level and preference, but the tools that you use expression and visual studio are the best right now.....

As far as that second question goes, let me rephrase it. why are the big named apps taking so long from a dev point of view, or is microsoft holding them back purposly.
Love life and my city.

I will test Safari but it sucked last time.

I don't think they have that many developers actually.

Safari came out pretty bad, worse than Google Chrome actually on everything including HTML5. I also noticed pages rendering slower. But thats Apple the ones who always leave features out.

I'm assuming you're referring to apps like Skype or Pandora etc (?)
I (obvioulsy) don't work for those companies, but if I'd have to take a guess, it would be that they're probably waiting for certain functionality to be exposed/documented.
Example: Skype needs access to the hardware (camera(s), mic etc) and/or both Pandora and Skype need some kind of (third-party) background process functionality.
The situation is kind of like it was with the iPhone. Everything's already there (you can be on a phone call or listen to music and look up an email at the same time = multitasking), it's just not made available yet (documentation and/or dev-friendly APIs).

Silva, i dont think chrome has all those titles you just claimed, its fast. Yes. But Safest....I Wouldnt say that, Internet Explorer is the saftest browser of all of them, just look at the cipher strength....Btw look at this test i did with internet explorer and chrome....
http://www.twitvid.com/MONBE

I think chrome is the safest. it has always proved to be and i dont think that will change anytime soon.

And while Chrome sucked in comparison to EI9 in your demonstration Chrome never looks like that or lags like that. I have never been able to do that to any browser really. It really only matters how it acts in actual use IMO. And its like this...your computer can play a game at 180fps and mine can only do 60fps. You will never be able to tell a difference. Sure yours may be smoother but can you actually tell without a benchmarks say so?

Now im not trying to be biased or anything about this, because you know im not, but i just really like Chrome the best. I have tried everything, even Safari and you know how much i hate Apple lol, and in my experience Chrome has always been the best with stability, pages loading properly, how quick pages load, and safeness. I run the latest version of the Dev Channel (10.0.648.45) and it is extremely stable. Never have any problems with it crashing.

And honestly even if i liked IE9 better than Chrome i would not be able to use it because Microsoft is so far in a box that they cant develop for anything besides Windows.

Well those microsoft boys are hard at work, Multitasking, kinnect on a phone, speed tweaks, twitter intergration, ie9 with html5 support, more skydrive integration, etc. Excited??? eh?? Well im just giddy being the only wp7 owner here, (Btw thanks guys)...watch this video please..

You're not the only one, but the anti MS guys make tmonews very tiring to read, so I find myself avoiding coming here. Definitely enjoying my DVP (when it doesnt crash, looking forward to getting a Nokia WP7).
