I know to get 4g speeds on the T Mobile USA network the specs for the phone have to say on the 3g network 1700 and 2100.  But, with HSDPA and HSUPA does the phone still have to have the 1700 to get the speeds of 4g?

The reason why I ask is because I'm patiently waiting for the arrival of the new LG Optimus 3D and for the specs on the 3g network it has HSDPA 900/1900/2100 and not 1700!  Will this phone be as fast as my Galaxy S 4g and MT4G?

Any information will be well appreciated.

Thanks,

Billy

Okay...
For any type of network other than 2G on tmobile you need 1700.

So for the slower 3g, 7.2 3g, and 4G(4g is an upgraded 3g that gets 4g speeds, so "4G" and 3G both need 1700).

In conclusion, HSDPA 900/1900/2100 will *not* be compatible with any T-Mobile 3G or 4G.

I believe the Optimus 2x has 1700 so it will be compatible with the enhanced 3g, but not 4g.
