If I have a G1, and then it broke or something and it was T-Mobile's fault, and it needed a replacement...what phone would I get, since they probably don't make the G1 anymore? Would I get a used G1 or a different new phone?

If you have had it over a year your warranty through them is over, if you have insurance you would have to use that.  Now for a replacement they may still have G1's available but I would think you might get a MyTouch Slide or a lesser chance of a G2.   But who knows I just had to do a warranty exchange on a Slide and they offered me another Slide or a Vibrant.

No the only way it would then be covered is if you have insurance, otherwise unfortunately you would have to purchase a new device.

No way of adding a warranty, have you checked your upgrade options? If your smart about it you can say you want to cancel and they usual get you to saves and offer you a deal. You have to be smooth about it though,  don't quote me on it.

I don't have a two year contract..so I can't say the usual i'll cancel thing.
What if I claim I bought an extended warranty and that the person must not have added it when I bought the phone or something?

Question how is it t-mobile's fault it broke? And also are you on the EM Plus plan, is that why you would want to go the warranty option instead of just upgrading the line to a new android phone? If you talk to retentions you may still be able to get the G2 for free.

Actually the opposite happened to me at USCC. See I signed up but was not billed for the service. When reps checked the account they couldn't find the service on the account but hidden away it was. Asurion wanted to buy my phone later after I switched to T-Mobile again.

Yea but claiming it should have been on the account but was never added on is something a ton of customers do and its pointless cuz theres no way to prove if it was supposed to be on there or not lol.

Whoa!  After reading these comments...I thought we were ALL ...customers. Seems there are those in TMO, who somehow, feel they've reached a Level that's  truely Exceptional.
If true...(you) are due a "come-upin's" by TMobile Upper Management. Believe me..TMobile cares NOTHING about (your) Loyalty or Position!
