So, I've had my phone for a little bit now and feel confident enough for a review.
Pros:

Plastic parts (SIM cover, battery cover) take away from the phone's premium feel and the battery cover is a b_____ to remove

I am very much in the "honey moon" stage with my phone right now. Everything that I loved about my My Touch 4G (minus the 3G/HSPA) is in this phone. I am very pleased with the product. So far, I only ran into one small issue, when downloading the Amazon MP3 app, I found that it was not compatible with my phone due to the region where my phone comes from. Other than that, no issues with apps, games, etc.
Call quality is great, speaker phone reminds me of my HD2 (loud and "full," not "thin," low or crackling). Pretty much like any other unlocked phone, you simply pop your SIM and keep it moving.
Regarding the "feel" of the device, it is very thin-just like the HD2 (thinner than the Evo). It feels like the HD2, premium and solid. The battery cover is made of plastic and sits on the side of the phone with the volume rocker. The SIM/memory card slot sits on the bottom, also made of plastic. Finally, there is a plastic portion by the dual LED's, otherwise, one solid slab of metal (nice). None of the plastic pieces sit flush with the phone, they all stick out slightly (whack). The only branding on the phone is in the front at the bottom, where you find the "htc" logo at the bottom by the touch sensitive controls. On the back side (on the metal), you have another "htc" logo and "WITH HTC SENSE." On the rear of the battery cover there is the "DOLBY MOBILE" and "SRS WOW HD."
One of my biggest worries was, how am I going to survive in this day and age with just Edge data? I have my emails updating every hour, Twitter account on every hour, FB and I'm always surfing the same sites and periodically checking YouTube. Truth is, I'm hurting a bit. Edge is Edge, 2G data. However, I have no problems with my emails, FB app or Twitter. Obviously, I suffer when checking some of my sights while on the go and YouTube. However, when I'm in my office, I have my desktop and WiFi, when I'm at home, I have my laptop and WiFi so it really isn't that bad.
I chose to purchase this phone as I just wasn't happy with T Mobile's current offering. When I finally got frustrated with my Wing, I ended up buying an unlocked HTC Touch Diamond. I also owned an unlocked Palm Treo PRO (treo 850, designed by HTC) and so having unlocked phones is not new to me. However, the TP2 brought me back to contract extensions as did the HD2. Both of which, I was sure I was going to buy unlocked until we got the great news T Mo USA would be picking it up. I can see myself with my DHD for a little while, unless of course if T Mo USA releases another 4.3" monster by HTC. I'll probably hold off for a dual core HTC on T Mobile, but then again, you never know...
