I'd like to have the ffc but other than that I don't see anything for me to want. The rom doesn't matter when we have the great TW and Nero. I get good speeds now. I just don't know why the need for 21mbps or even half that on a phone. The only thing I could hope for is maybe better reception. Overall I dig the Vibrant and probably will never go to anything under 4" again.
Tmo kick the 3G in St.Louis area up a notch :) :)

It is nice that they update the Vibrant to what we should have received in the first iteration of the phone.  It is all good though, I am excited for new phones to come out.  It would be cool if we could trade in the vibrant for this when it comes out. ;)
Why would you not have a phone?

I'm happy with my original Vibrant. I'm not in dire straight to get a front facing camera and have 4G. My 3G is fast enough, and I know Samsung is being slow, but they will get 2.2 on it.

But I should give you heads up. If you look up your coverage they have begun to patch it up with HSPA+ even tho we don't see it yet.

I am at a little loss... I am closing my contract out with ATT (thank gawd) and will be picking up a TMO phone soon. I have had my eyes on the new Vibrant 4g but now I am having doubts when reviews scream about the nexus and g2... I don't want to get into a new contract and have doubts about my phone... Anyone have suggestions, preferences with there current phones that could help me make my choice? I have done a lot of research on phones lately, I know I want a full touch screen, but not sure if I want qwerty keyboard or not... I will be near a 4g area in a couple months and wondering if that will really make a difference. help!

It does make a difference if your in a 4G area. In a typical 3G(HSPA 7.2) area you'll get 2 to 3Mbps Down/.50 to .65Mbps Up on Average. In a 4G(HSPA+ 21) area you'll get anywhere beyond 3Mbps all the way to like 11Mbps Down/.80Mbps Up all the way to 2Mbps Up. I would go with either the MT4G or G2 if you need a keyboard. Vibrant 4G would also make a good addition too. However, I don't usually recommend a Samsung product.

Thanks guys. I wish the nearest store was closer, but the nearest one is 30 minutes away. I have yet to make my way up there and I don't wanna be let down with a retailer that doesn't have working models of every phone. I'm not so hot about the MT4G, but you guys are right. Top 3 are the G2, Galaxy s 4g and Nexus S.

What would make you consider the Nexus S over the Galaxy 4G?  I have seen no information that the Nexus S is even selling that well as T-Mobile doesn't even carry it.  People said it was too similar to the Vibrant, no 4G, etc.  Some said you were guaranteed faster Android updates with the Nexus S because it was supported by Google directly so that's maybe one positive.  But how interested is Google going to be in rushing out updates to it if no one buys it.

If you want a full 4G experience the Nexus S is out.

Vibrant 4G is more powerful in Graphic Performance.

G2 has a keyboard & has stock Android.

NS, Vibrant & Vibrant 4G has the same SoC.. so CPU & GPU are the same.. V4G just has an updated HSPA+ radio chip.. but all three vary in a few ways.
