It's HSPA+ or the 16 GB internal. I actually liked the 16 GB internal memory on the GSM Galaxy S variants. You could bring the phone up to 32 pretty easily, and 48 if you've got an extra $100 or so.

but that 16GB NAND was only allotted 2GB for apps tho right? the rest for user storage (pics/vids/etc.)

The loss of the 16GB internal storage is disappointing but not the end of the world.  I'll still be getting this phone.  While its not the fastest/hottest phone on the market, its DEFINITELY a HUGE UPGRADE to the Blackberry Curve 8900.

I am just hoping, eventually space doesn't become an issue.

Just hold off a bit more.. better phones are on their way.. don't waste your money on this.. WAIT!

Well my friend is very happy with her vibrant.  When is the next good phone coming to T-Mobile.  My 8900 is really on its last leg.

Go to my thread about upcoming phones: http://forums.tmonews.com/index.php?topic=16687.0

but the HTC Pyramid is top phone so far with alot of Tmo user.. even ones on other carries.. but no pics yet =(

the Vibrant/4G is a good phone because of its SAMOLED screen and processor.. maybe its light weight.. but other than that, its dated.

That phone looks pretty sweet but ya can't keep up with technology.  I also so it said it was being released Mid 2011.  I really can't wait any longer.  There will always be that option to sell :)

Wish we we had an exact date.. and are u trying to get the SGS4G on a new contract, or buy it full price?

I had the mytouch 4G from a contract renewal.  I sold that and need a new phone.  I'd be purchasing it at full price.  I looked over the specs for the pyramid and I want that now.  It said its likely to launch in May.  Only thing with the SGS 4G is the internal storage and lack of flash. Those two things are really making me not want to order it.

Oh ok.. but yea, just try to hang on for a couple more months.. the SGS4G is really lacking other than SAMOLED & Hummingbird.

I think it would be a mistake to buy a high end phone right now, even on other carriers, let alone on TMO.
IMO, 2.4 will kick off the dual core smart phone mania. Just speculating here, I would describe the next ~2 months as silence before the storm when the big launches start rolling out.

Android ports for my HD2 have gotten really good, no need to rush...

Galaxy 4g is the exact same phone as vibrant with minor tweaks.  Don't get me wrong, this is a very powerful phone that should be recognized.  I just love the built in 16g and the 32g sd potential with my vibrant.  Galaxy S doesn't have built in storage.

Now if they manage to combine the best of the two phones into one super phone for the next version them i'm sold.

why would internal storage matter when you can move your apps to external storage on froyo and above? i think they have class10 microsd's out now. should be more than fast enough. but on the other hand internal flash will always be faster i think.

He's talking about the 16 GB of NAND available in the Vibrant for media. It's pretty nice; I'd rather have that over HSPA+ as HSPA+ isn't all that great in my area.

anyone have insight as to how the virtual kb is for typing in portrait mode on this phone with the 4" screen? would it make a big difference coming from a 3.7" screen?

I think the bigger the screen the easier onscreen typing is

How's the bloatware on TMO's S4?  Is it removable (without rooting)?
