4.3" screen is perfect for me since I have big hands, lol.  One of the reasons I love my HD2.

Well, I actually have rather large hands myself.  I don't know why but I have never had a problem using the smaller devices.  I would be perfectly happy though with around a 3.7 screen.

I never really had a problem using smaller devices either.  Wasn't trying to say that I did.  The large screen just makes everything easier, and it feels nice in the hand to me.

Ah, I dunno for me a larger device doesn't feel nice, it just feels too bulky, even if it may fit the hands better (mind you am I the only one that notices how wrong that sounded?)

G3? Hmmm...

How about:
1) HTC design
2) 1GHz dual core
3) 4" Screen (with a resolution higher than WVGA)
4) Slide out, tilting keyboard (similar to Nokia's N97)
5) Premium materials

I had the G2, thought it was a great phone. However, the screen was too small for me. I felt that the trackpad was a feature truly not needed. The fact that its CPU was clocked at 800MHz to add to the battery life, I am cool with that. However, I would love to behold a dual core beast designed and tailored by HTC.

The GSM Touch Diamond, Touch HD, TP2, HD2 and Mozart are examples of HTC intuition and engineering.
I wish my battery kept up with my phone

800Mhz or not it still outperforms the old 1Ghz processors on the market today. My friends with EVO's and Galaxy S phones are not fond of me when I beat them in Quadrant tests.

Well larger the screen the bigger the picture like a TV.

So are you suggesting we just abandon the portable part of cell phones and strap a 37" 1080p TV with a cell radio in it on our backs and meander around town showing off our huge screens? LOL

Not that big. Screens shouldn't get over 10" because it certainly wouldn't be as portable.

10"?  Once a phone would get beyond 4.5 it could no longer be considered a phone imo...lol  Just imagine holding a 10" screen phone to your face...entertaining picture there

What about the Dell Streak 7 or the LG Slate if they were phones?

They're small for tablets but way too big for a phone. Heck, even the original Streak is comically large for a phone. The limit is 4:3'' as shown by the Evo and Droid X.

Lmao, i just imagined holding a ipad to your ear trying to make a phone call. You wouldnt be able to hold it with one hand so you're gonna look like a tard holding a 9.7 inch screen with both hands to your ear....you could probably get away with it with the galaxy tab, and even then you would look like a tard, but yea know what you mean.

Something strange just happened. My 3G signal is at 4 bars just now & isn't going down.

But yea I agree it looks weird at first but you gotta get used to it.

It dropped but still is greater than before. Its currently pouring down snow.

Things I would like with the G3
1. Second or 3rd gen snap Dragon Processor.
2. A 5 row-keyboard
3. Come in mutiple colors Red, Blue, Black and White
4. More memory actually use 4GB of Ram
5. Actully have T-mobile do commercials for the phone
6. A Bigger and better battery maybe a 2000mah or heigher
7. Keep the track-pad been a life saver

Things I don't want
1. Any Camrea of 5 mp anything over is pointless
2. Nothing over 3.7 seriously its a waste ( It kills the battery and is to damn big)
3. I don't want it to Phone geeked out. Yes I'm a phone Geek but we don't need a phone that will push the main stream away.
4.  Can't be made by Samsung,  Motorolla or any other non HTC company
5. Has to be Pure Andriod like the G2 no skin. I like sense but Na don't need it is a waste of battery power and takes longer for updates

i agree about the camera not over 5mp.  it's pointless and might even make the phone bigger or heavier than it needs to be.

It needs to beat the DROID 3..

- 1.2 or 1.3 Ghz dual core (droid 3 will  have 1.2ghz OMAP4)
- 4 inch qHD display
- 1080p video recording
- 42mbps 4G HSPA+ to match LTE speeds
- 768mb ram to 1gb ram
- Stock android 2.4
- Front 1.3mp or 2mp facing camera & rear
- 5 row keyboard
- LED Notification light

$249 on a 2 yr contract.

Many of those specs might be pointless, but thats what people want - something to show off that can be the best on the market.

Agree with Micheal2041 post but would like to see a 4.3 size screen, maybe a aluminum body and maintain a good business look, like the current G2. Keep the $199 price on a 2 year contract. Also make it thinner.

Now i think it would need a 1.5GHz dual core or quad core.

Quad is just crazy.  Gingerbread doesn't even really utilize a dual core at this point.
