Jet has a point. However for me I used an emulator w/ the ROM to run & checked it out that way.

Of course.  I'm not a big fan of the device but I can at least give an honest evaluation of its performance.  For someone who hasn't even touched the device to call it the most confusing thing ever or say it's prone to self destruction is going a bit far IMO.

Are you saying that this is the first version of Window mobile? Perhaps you forgot the last 10 years of windows mobile?

Actually, this OS doesn't have anything in common with the previous versions of Windows Mobile.  This OS was written new from the ground up, so yes this is Windows Phone 7 version 1.0.

Oh and jet don't knock it til you try it.

T1, read the above posts!

It was blacksilva who was clearly knocking it without trying it.  Not me!  I stated very clearly in post #15 that I had tried the device.  Blacksilva was bashing it based only upon watching some videos of the operating system.

He was also claiming that it was the same as Windows Mobile when it is not.

Please do not try to attribute his behavior to myself.

I'm really curious to try WP7. Might just need to drop by a T-mobile store soon.

I think it has some potential.  Though it has a long way to go before it replaces my iPhone4...

I'm finding it interesting that a few iPhone guys (David, Andrew and Kick) have picked up HD7s.

I'd like to take a look at WP7 after a few months. It does one thing outstandingly well over Android and that's music. I finally got syncing down on Android with TuneSync but the actual music players are just meh.

If there were a WP7 device with 32 GB of storage and HSPA+, I'd be forced to buy. Yet no one will make a phone with 32 GB of storage except for Apple. Nokia too, but Nokia doesn't count.

Yeah, I played with the HD7 on the launch day. The HD7 hardware is nice, but I am not too fond of the OS, atleast initially. Also the resolution on the HD7 looks washed out.

I read that AT&T sold more Samsung Windows Phone 7 devices, because of way the Super-AMOLED screen looked compared to their other WP7 devices. LOL.
