Author Topic: [NOT A HOW TO] Root MyTouch 4G  (Read 1709 times)

I have not gotten this phone yet but i am alreay rooting it (;D)...or at least trying.

How do you root it? I have rooted almost every Android phone i have ever had so I'm not a noob at this stuff but this NAND lock thing is really throwing me off.

From what i have found the main way to root it is to turn off fastboot (hibernation feature) in the settings and install the Visionary app Paul made. Is that all there is to it? Is their another more affective method?

Thanks in advanced.

what you did roots it. for proof, after you do that, check for superuser. HOWEVER, its not permanent. after reboot, its gone. the devs are still working on making it permanent. after reboot, you must run the visionary app again to regain root. luckily, there is a setting in the app to make it run automatically on boot.

All right. So if I keep fast boot on and reboot I should still be rooted right?
