My phone constantly says low storage space. Then at times, it will reject incoming messages due to the low storage space. Its mad annoying.

It says Internal phone storage Available: 17.64MB.

You are at the limit for the message, theres a couple things I recommend. Either doing a factory reset which will free up a lot of cache from certaint apps or try to delete some of the apps that you have on your phone.

The best route though is to root your device and use apps2sd. I have a 500mb external partition that I install all my apps on.

Android is programmed when space hits 20MB & below to pop-up that msg. This happens to my friends G1.

Device: Samsung Galaxy Note II
Baseband:
Recovery:
Kernel: [3.0.31]
ROM: [4.1.1 - JellyBean][xxxxx]

I backed up my old messages, and removed them. That freed up almost 40MB. Now, my phone doesn't have that issue.

I'd go and use SMS Backup+. Backs up all your old SMS to a Gmail label so you don't have to worry about losing texts. Plus you also get Gmail's good search feature. It also backs up in real time.
