MyTouch HD vs G2

So I got suckered into the Moto Cliq and got 2 of them with the Even More Plus plan (for 2 years) that I'll be paying on for another few months. I use lots of features on my phones and constantly kill the battery on it before the day is out. Push e-mail, GPS, MMS, texting, camera, web browsing, apps, etc.. all things I use daily. I have a Wi-Fi iPad and love it too, so the idea of having a MyFi hotspot in my phone is a HUGE plus to me, regardless of throttling. I live in Dallas where there's decent HSPA+ coverage. I'm currently using an iPhone 2G on EDGE, because I can't stand the Cliq's shortcomings.

So this holiday season I'm considering upgrading my phone. I don't know if I should hold out for the MyTouchHD or get the G2 now. I like the keypad on the iPhone and how responsive it is, but hate the on-screen keypad on the Cliq. Might be because of no Swype, slow processor, or whatever.. Will the 800mhz processor on the G2 keep up with all that I do? Is the uber-sensitive slide-open feature a deal breaker? How's the battery life looking on it? Which phone would you hold out for in this position?

Wait till the MyTouch comes out and go to the store and play with both phones.  Personally I think it is going to come down whether or not you need a keyboard.  There close to being the same phone, except the Mytouch with the FFC and the G2 having the keyboard.  Also with waiting you can see if there are any real problems with the G2.  There both made by HTC so I think quality is going to be there and it is going to come down to what you like better.

I prefer the myTouch more than the G2 but I like both.

i am in the same shoe, i got screwed by the cliq and my birthday is coming up i wanna upgrade my phone before my bday..
HD or G2?? its such a tough decision, i know HD comes with Wifi calling....but wat about G2..??and let's say Android is rolling out 2.3 or 3.0..who will be the first to get it? I should've done these research before i bought the cliq...
