I'll NEVER buy anoher Samsung phone because of the Behold 2. The Charm is light years better than the Behold 2. The charm is an entry level Android phone, but Motorolas hardware is light years ahead of Sammys.

you might regret what you're saying about motorola when you've encountered problems like i've had with past motorolas.

This. Plus there's never really been a dev community either for Motorola phones with the exception of the Droid 1. The Droid 1 has a great community behind it because it was the first really big Android phone.

That's one thing with buying HTC devices. You will always have a dev community. The Slide and Aria, two mid-range devices on only 1 US carrier respectively have had CyanogenMod 6, a stock unofficial Android 2.2 distribution for 3 months and counting now. The Samsung Galaxy S, one of the biggest phones of the last 6 months, on god knows how many GSM carriers, does not have CM6. I think that's pretty telling of HTC dev support.

I've had two high end Sammy phones & one low end Motorla, all on the Andrioid platform, I like the Moto better. If the Charm had a better Camera I would like it even more.

My biggest problem with this phone was the poor battery life ... I was dissapointed that the G2 when I went to use my contact backup ... I got the message that it was not compatible with my new phone ... Contact backup was made so that you can have access to your contacts when you lose , damage , or get a new phone. .... so what the heck ?

You know what I liked my Behold 2. It just didn't do enough for me. The Vibrant over the G2, but that's just an opinion.

I'm finally ditching the Behold 2 & charm on Monday. I went back to the Behold2 a few months ago after the charm started going hay wire on me. I had many gripes about the Behold2. One of them was the key board. I was able to buy a custom key board that I was able to make the keys bigger to suit my fingers. That made using the phone more pleasant.

2nd was the memory, it sucked. I had about 22 apps on the phone at any given time, but if I needed another one I would have to rearrange things. Heavy data apps like E-bay would weigh the phone down & I was always getting low memory reading. Low memory on this phone would screw everything up. I wouldn't get texts or calls. I was always emptying out the cache on unused programs like swpe & tele nav to try to squeeze more bits out of it. Finally I ditched the e-bay app.

3rd, after Samsung screwed us all with the updates they promised us I decided I will NEVER buy another Samsung wireless product again. I'm going back to HTC. I have always been extremly happy with HTC products.
