i downloaded the version available when the vibrant came out.  it didn't stream.  any station i selected took at least a minute to connect.  not buffer.  connect.  if it did buffer (which was about 1/3 of the time) it took 30 seconds before the buffer failed and had to re-connect and re-buffer) or started playing for maybe 20 seconds before rebuffering.  the only way i was able to listen to the one station that i got the app for was to favorite it so it played immediately.  doing that only worked maybe 50% of the time.

now with this update i am having multiple errors.  if the config files actually load (which sometimes doesn't happen) the app is actually causing my phone to reset itself.  if it plays after i start it out and its fine for 5 minutes, more times than not it's good for another 10 before it loses connection and tries to reconnect and rebuffer.  if it loads choppy, the app is going to crash the phone.

and the really sad part is that its idevice version app runs like a dream every time out.  and its running off the wifi where the android one is running on 3g (because the 3g is faster and more reliable).

how do i know its the app and not the phone or a bad area?  i also have a online radio.  and streamfurious.  and wunderradio.  the only time i have buffer issues is when the source stream goes down or when my battery gets low and the data connection is automatically cut to save battery or when t-mobile is having connection issues.  while aor is occationally supported (their forums have been taken over by spam golf talk) and streamfurious is no longer supported, and wunderradio may be supported (android version at least.  they do actively work on their idevice version) they all work better than iheartradio every time out.  if there is some other way to listen to a clear channel station stream by any other means than that horrifically coded excuse for an app please let me know.

iheart for whatever reason sucks. it will only work (perfect) on wifi. it does not work on 3g. some people say tmobile is blocking it or something. i dont know what the problem is.

iHeartRadio has problems streaming. I've used it, it just cuts out even on Wi-Fi. But I know what the problem is:

You see in the app where it shows the streaming & the # keeps moving like 23K 31K blah blah blah.

Anything that streams over 32K has problems. It simply doesnt go up much past that & if its a 64K, 128K stream it will cut out constantly. Its streamer is broken theres an issue with on any stream getting past 32K. So even if its on Wi-Fi its not able to take the full speed to stream it chooses to stick to the 32K.

clear channel stations only stream mobile audio through iheartradio.  radiotime isn't going to help me here because i can access those stations through wunderradio.

I have WunderRadio as well. But I understand Radiotime is a bit too app designed rich that it doesnt function that fast.
