Received my G2 just now. I discovered a big problem:

while sending myself a picture that i'd like to use as my wallpaper, i inadvertently discovered that the jpg attachment cannot be previewed NOR can it be downloaded! all it would do is to say "Fetching Attachment" and have the circular thing go round and round, with the words "Please wait" next to it.

i have no idea how this could be and i don't know how to fix it! may i ask for help please?

Thx.

Have you tried rebooting the device? If that fails, try sending the picture again.
Addicted to flashing ROMS.

Resolved:

in desperation, i called Tmobile and, without any options, was connected to HTC Support (surprise surprise).   They were shockingly useless!   i called 3 times before giving up.   one tech support person asked me:  "how did you get a G2?".   I answered:  "i bought it from Tmobile".   They said:  "huh?"

eventually, after trying to reboot, this, that, and everthing else i could think of, i uninstalled the gmail "app".   i didn't even know you could do that.    i then reinstalled it from the Marketplace.   Now things work as they seemingly should.   Time will tell.  Whew.

Theres an app called AttachSave in the marketplace ! While its stupid that we have to use it, it will work to allow you to download JPGs or any other attachment that has a corresponding application associated to it(requires the download button to populate to work). This is a KI with Android and the Gmail App
