as the title says, i just rooted my nexus one, i've had it for a couple months and just decided to bite the bullet and tryin flashing a rom on here, supringsly it was quite easy and i put the cynagen roms on here, the whole set up went smooth until i rebooted the phone, now im not sure if its my patience or what, but it seems to be taking a long time to get passed the nexus one boot animation. is this normal?

Are you sure you followed all the steps to unlock the bootloader correctly?

Also did you wipe the data before you flashed?

which recovery image are you using? I recommend Amon RA recovery. link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611829

Thanks for the mention. +1.

i would also do it my way (link in my sig). one click root works but really only sometimes. in order for anyone to be able to help you, you kind of have to do it the long way (which really isnt that long). One click is a good time saver but you end up using the time you saved trouble shooting. lol.

The hardest thing about the long way is having to use ADB. if your not familiar with that im sure someone could redirect you on how to set it up. I use ubuntu. im sure you use windows. i dont have any experience getting it set up on windows. if you use any GNOME linux distro look here...

^for GNOME 2.30 look at the second post.

I do not think it is normal. Besides, there is going to be a serious issue with this in the future. I suggest you update your software or if you are in the latest version, go for a reinstall, as that would certainly cut off the problem. Anyway, I suggest you give me furthermore details as I certainly think Google has the insurance to help you out But only thing is that you need to act fast
