The device rocks!  I see only two dings on this device and more good things:

Dings:

1.  Wiz interface.  Can Launch Pro override it?  Plain Android would be better IMO
2.  No flash.  This is only a half-ding, since most phones take rough flash pics anyways
"3."  I am leaving battery concerns out, since what do people expect with this power?

Good:

1.  Hummingbird was designed to be a media BEAST
2.  Sound quality from 3.5 is as good as the Incredible (that is a good thing)
3.  Multiple video codec support is pure sweetness and offers accelerated video due to Hummingbird's drivers
4.  Game ports for this puppy will rock, due to the chipset
5.  16gb built-in :)
6.  Hot swap microsd card :)
7.  4" super amoled.  The display looks as good as the Incredible's PLUS easier to see in sun light and 4" is the sweet spot for screen size IMO.

The flash is the only ding that can not be corrected, but again flash pics on phones are iffy anyways and I would gladly take 16gb over a flash anyday.  The Verizon version has a flash, but only 2gb built in.  I would prefer the Tmo version.

You all now have a GREAT device to cover until the dual core devices are released in mass next year.

Tmo fans, I salute you :)

Finally, lol!

Being without android the past 3 months had me in like withdrawal.  I knew what i was getting when i signed up for the HD2, but I didnt expect to miss Android that damn much, lol.  And to make matters worse, i had given my Mytouch to my lil brother in exchange for his upgrade to get the HD2, and he lives with me!  So i had to watch him play with android and steer him through it all the while wishing i had found a way to keep at least the Mytouch i had traded with him.  I ended up getting a used moto Cliq off CL, but after the G1 and Mytouch with Android 1.6+ and rooted the 1.5 Cliq felt like a laughing stock compared to them.  I truly believe had some of these Android phones NOT come out Android would be in a much better state!

my main ding on this phone is lack of optical pad.. but the on screen keyboards like Swipe and Samsung keyboard has d-pad's, so that was a relief.. and a half ding is no LED notification.. but devs are working on getting the hard keys LED and the SAMOLED screen (u can choose which one u want to use) to work as notifications.. so thats a plus for this phone.. other than those two, its the TouchWiz "Launcher" (some other TW elements are nice tho) is not attractive.. luckly there is DL'able Launchers out there, like Launcher Pro (free)/LP Plus (paid).

Notification light being missing is a very odd ommision.

I would still be all over this device if still with Tmo.  Prefer a keyboard, but I prefer systems like the Dingoo, DS and PSP for old school game stuff now, anyways :)

That and my N900 :)  Full MAME on the N900 is all I need and Game Gripper is coming to the N900 :)  Due to Swype, I have accepted the touch world.....
 I guess so....

You can use Launcher PRO instead. And flash isn't needed, because this phone takes better pictures in Night Mode than most phones take with a LED Flash.  Check the front page ;).

The only thing about using launcher pro/adw launcher is that you lose the samsung widgets.  I actually liked a few of them so it's making my decision tough.  Add to the fact that I don't think touchwiz is bad...and I'm in tough position to make a decision

i just don't like that big ass dock, and how u cant scroll the apps with TW.. so its worth sacrificing a couple useful Samsung Widgets with Launcher Pro's high customization.. plus L.P. Plus has widgets (one so far).. they're in the process of creating more.. check this video here:

After I leave Tmo, too- ironic.  BTW, Tmo would be FAR better off to focus on getting their 3G map coverage improved, rather than chasing higher speeds.  4G level is more a battery drain for portable devices anyways.

Most do not notice 3G to 4G, but they DO notice 2G to 3G.  This is why Tmo is losing people like me who waited years and still no better coverage.

Enjoy the phone :)
