New Android 2.2 Software Update for Nexus One phones

Starting today, Nexus One users will begin to receive the Android 2.2 (codenamed Froyo) over-the-air software update on their phones. This update provides some great new features including support for making your handset a portable hotspot and support for Adobe Flash within the browser. For a complete list of everything we’ve included in Android 2.2, please see the Android 2.2 Platform Highlights.

In order to access the update, you will receive a message on your phone's notification bar. Just download the update, wait for it to install, and you should be all set. This update will be rolled out gradually to phones - and most users will receive the notification by the end of the week . We hope you enjoy these new features.

it seems only people who did earlier build manual updates are getting the OTA update.
Have people with a ERE27 build ( that are running 2.1 update 1) got the ota update yet?

I haven't updating anything on my phone manually. I rather wait for the official OTA.

But, I still haven't gotten anything.

Gah, there have been many versions already and I've had them all.

FRF50
FRF83
FRF85b
and now FRF91

I manually updated via recovery. Hopefully 91 is the last one! :) But really, I haven't been able to spot any differences between these incremental Froyo updates

As. I understand it it goes by IMEI number so if you got your nexus one early on you will get it first or atat least soon. I got tired of waiting so I updated manually

If you haven't received the ota then dial *#*#CHECKIN#*#* and check system updates.

no update yet here
Just because I don't give you credits, does not mean you did not receive exceptional customer service...

Just because the answer you have received from me is not the answer you wanted, does not make it incorrect.

I am dissappointed. I got the OTA on Saturday night. But, ever since then, my phone has been freezing constantly.

Yes, I got the same OTA update on my non-rooted/un-modded Nexus One (AWS-version).  Phone would take awhile to boot up, and then when it finally does, the whole phone locks up.

I have had to pull the battery several times, just to get it to refresh. Once you think, its ok, it goes back to locking up.

It's really annoying.
