Look…it’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s a Father’s Day Sale Extravaganza. We’ve all been trying to figure out just what exactly is in store for June 19th. We’re still working to paint a total picture of what exactly is happening but that day, but the above image should give a better idea of what is going down. As always this is this is all subject to change.
These images are none other than the scripts for two commercial spots, filmed last week and airing sometime before the 19th of June. While our sources have stated some additional details that may not be included, we’re only going with what’s actually on the picture itself. Is this rock solid information? No, of course not, nothing is rock solid until we can say, “this is rock solid” but we’re confident that the above images are real and actually scripts for commercials regarding the Fathers Day June 19th promotion.

So while it looks as though new lines, or new family plans are the real sell here, there are still plenty of unknowns regarding this promotion. As with any other rumors, we’re still trying to figure out fact from fiction. For now, hopefully the above images will get some buzz going and allow T-Mobile to pick up some customers and actually begin a real fight for third place.

I would really like to know the details on this whole thing. Both my family lines are two months from being out of contract. I am so confused on what to do. A rep told me a couple weeks ago that I could get a full upgrade whenever. If I could get my lines upgraded with free phones THAT I WANTED, great. That's the problem. I don't want to waste an upgrade on phones I don't want, free or not. I feel like there is NO chance Tmo will get any new phones other than the Galaxy S for the rest of the summer. I could always get an HD2 or myTouch Slide and sell them on eBay to buy a Nexus or 3GS... ugh.

I just can't help but feel like all of us Tmo users who are waiting for a T-Mobile branded super-phone are just going to get the shaft. Samsuck just doesn't cut it.

I think this promo is restricted to new customers only. This means that if you are out of contract, you would need to cancel and restart over with T-mobile. this, of course, would eliminate any grandathered features/plans you might have so it's up to you to make a decision: do you want free phones or do you want your grandfathered plans?

Well I am due for an upgrade but my husband isn't. We both want the mytouch slide of coarse I have to get in a different color since he wants black, but I hope that we could at least do the buy one get one free, if we can't get both phone free.

I just got 2 free MyTouches from retention with the Android pref data plan ($20) on a new 2 year contract. Second line was not eligible for upgrade (new Gravity 2 in Oct 2009). In 6+ years with TMO I have not taken advantage of 3 upgrade I was eligible for on one of the lines.

If you don't get anywhere on the 19th in the store, it's probably worth a call to the retention specialists. They offered the slide to me at $129 each, and maybe on/after the 19th I might have had more leverage, but I'm not that interested in the slide (for various reasons, some based on my experience with the HTC S710).

Thanks for the info salem_cust. I hope me being a retention customer helps pay off. I just don't want to pay too much on my husband's line. I know my contract ends in October of this year and my husband August of next year but I haven't done an upgrade since the nokia 6333 almost 5 years ago.

i hope its not only limited to new customers..that would suck. i dont think it would be worth it to pay the ETF on each line and lose all the numbers just to get a couple new phones.

I'm feeling like that's it. The official T-Mobile twitter is doing some crazy cheesy promotion where you can "meet" several regular ol' dads this week! Lame.

This is irritating. Personally I hate the idea of having to haggle to get pricing as a longtime customer. Sprint is the only company that actually gives benefits to existing customers. I take that back... even ATT is giving recent 3GS buyers a deal on the new iPhone. Since T-mobile's churn is so crazy high you think they would make it worth while to stay with them.

I had a great experience with my T-Mobile store that reminded me why I stay with them. I'll tell everyoen about it as soon as this promo is over. :D

Let's just say after adding two new lines... I am getting the promotion on all four lines, and the promotion is being delayed... until I want to use it.

If I switch over to a family plan and add a line under this promotion, does my clock get reset to 24 months for upgrades and etf/cancelation or is the 2 yrs just on the 2nd line and mine remains the same? Since I'm not eligible for an upgrade or anything (9 months into 2yr plan) I'd hate to lose those 9 months
