nexus one and gmail notification

hey guys,

I just got the n1 but I am having some difficulties with it and gmail.  Ill get notifications when emails are received within a few minutes apart, but if I get two emails within a minute or so, Ill get the notification for the first incoming one but not the second.  Any idea why? 

so your phone does not constantly scream at you if you are a popular person. if i get an email and i dont check it and then i get another email about a minute later i will only get 1 notification.

Thanks for the reply!  I guess I found it odd as I am coming from a BB and it notifies me anytime I have an email, no matter how quickly I get them. 

To me it make since. if I get 5 emails in 1 minute I don't want my phone to go blingeverytime I get one. that's would be annoying.
