Has anyone tried to use this phone with a Blackberry data add-on plan, to see if it allows you to use the internet, like the Nexus One?

Also how is the speakerphone's loudness when playing music through the speaker and also when on a call?

the non-Android data plans work on the Nexus one is because its not apart of T-Mobile's IEMI list.. so they can't upsell u since they don't know what device that is.. so i highly doubt BB data will work with the G2.. i want to use my t-zones with it, but i doubt thats gonna work either.

http://www.htc.com/us/products/t-mobile-g2

oh ok, i see it (barely).. but i'll believe it once i see live shots of the H+ symbol.

Yeah, I just don't want to be forced to give up my blackberry $19.99 data plan. I will be paying the same thing since I have the $14.99 messaging plan, but I like having the messaging and data separate.

call CS and get the Loyalty Dept.. i heard they can get u a deal.. $10 txt/mms & $20 smartphone data.. tell them u might go else where unless they can give u a deal.. someone said they got that deal, and got the G2 for $150 w/o MIR and free shipping.. they also said it might take a couple of tries for a rep to budge.. so its worth a shot terry.. imma try it.

Does anybody think that maybe around November - Christmas time, this phone will go for less than 500 unsubbed? I plan on checking out all the options before I make a decision and it'd be nice if by Christmas, it costs less.

Nope. The T-Mobile Touch Pro 2 was $499 for awhile, before it dropped.

They will let you do EIP plan (if you're approved) so you can pay off the phone in interest-fee payments.

Personally, I think i am just going to put down like $200, and the remainder with be in installments.
What more do you want from me?

Yes, I was going to suggest that too.  To get the $20 & the $10 plan is not hard if you've been with them awhile.  You save $5 per month.  And that's a good idea to combine it with a phone discount while you're at it.

And even if you have to go back to the BB, you could get the $20 preferred plan converted from smartphone to BB.  I don't see any advantage to keeping your $19.99 plan at this point.

Please tell me how you manage to pull that off?
Also how much will this phone be on a 2 year re-new contact because? I spoke to reps that told me differently. I'm thinking wait for a few reviews and ,also compare the pricing of wifefly, radio shack, t-mobile, besybuy and amazon and what other site to see who gives me the best deal and the most acessories.

just call customer service, and say when the automated machine comes on to direct your call, say "cancel". You'll get transferred to customer loyalty, and from there you just need to threaten to leave, or something along those lines. What i did was tell them I had high hopes of switching T-mobile to get the Evo (which I did in a sense.), and the rep told me he would give me the g2 for full upgrade cost.
Came out to 230, just need to do the mail in rebate.

*also, mention how you've been with Tmo for years. I mentioned Ive been with the company for 6 years, and they really hooked me up. I love tmobile!*

Did you get this based on qualifying for a full-upgrade discount -- i.e., more than 22 months into a 2-year contract?

If you get if for 149 you can do the rebate that will bring it to 99.
It has been confirmed to work from xda.

Hmmm...sounds very good.  However, I'm only 14 months into a 2-yr contract...and the G2 doesn't even show on my list of upgrade-to phones on My.T-Mobile.com.  I know, I know -- I need to call CS and talk to a live human...but I hate that (live humans, I mean  ;D ).  But I gotta deal with it if I want a new phone this year from T-Mo.  :P
